Doing what: Paris Bike Tour

My husband and I went to Paris for a four day weekend and wanted to make the most of our experience. When going to a new big city, I like to get a feel for the city and become oriented to it. I thought the bike tour would be the perfect way, and it was. Tour guide was very informative, and kept an eye on everyone to ensure no one got lost. We never felt our safety was threatened. The tour really helped to make our first day in Paris extra special. After the tour the staff were very helpful and friendly and willing to assist us with getting to our next destination. Itwas good exercise.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This was my favorite day! Our tour guide, Crystal, was absolutely fabulous! This day was well worth the money. You get to bike and picnic in a beautiful setting. The tour guide delivered her information in a fun, interesting and enthusiastic manner. I wish we had done our tour of Paris by bike with this same company.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

Our last day in Paris was saved for a Versailles Bike Day Tour and it was the best! We had a fabulous tour guide. He explained the sites and history in a really fun, interesting, and informative way. The biking was flat and easy and it was a great way to cover a lot of area in a short period of time. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone it was a really special part of our week long vacation in Paris!

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

I would highly recommend any of the biking tours! Our guide was great and was very historical about the area. The tour actually starts at the business office, where they check everyone in. Then you ride through Paris on your bikes to a train station where you will catch an eighteen minute train ride to Versailles. You bike about 10 miles total but at the end of the day, you truly do not feel like you've biked that far. The biking is easy riding. However, you will have to carry your bike up and down a flight of stairs waiting for the train.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This was a great way to experience Versailles. Our trip leader was enthusiastic and was well versed on the research, and we had a congenial group of 25 for our trip. The worst part of the trip was the two hours we spent touring the chateau on our own with the rest of the tourist mob. Going by bike was a great way to experience the beauty and extent of the grounds of Versailles, in addition to a short distance on the streets of Paris. The weather threatened all day, but we had a great time. The trip is mostly flat, so is doable for anyone who is in reasonably good health. It was managed by two 70-year-olds in our group, one my husband.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

One of our best days in and around Paris. Well organized, guides were energetic and informed. Grounds are too big to see on foot. In a vehicle would be just another tour. Only way to see them is on bike! Bring a small backpack for the picnic.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This is a wonderful, relaxing tour and a welcome contrast to biking around the streets of Paris. The open air market in Versailles is such a fun experience and what could be better than a picnic lunch along the grand canal on the palace grounds. The guides are fun and share a lot of history that makes the palace and grounds come alive. The only negative that I have to share is that the bikes could be better maintained. We had about 4 flat tires in our group the day we took the tour, and my son's chain kept falling off his bike. Better maintenance could have prevented these minor inconveniences. I'm still giving the tour a 5 star rating. It was a wonderful experience for our entire family.

What a great day! After an exciting morning dodging the Paris traffic and catching the train with the bikes, we were able to experience the local market to buy lunch and a bottle of wine. The tour leader was very informative and entertaining, enough time was allowed to take lots of photos and see most things in the palace. Recommended.

Doing what: Paris Night Bike Tour

My husband, daughter, and I did the evening bike tour on the day we arrived in Paris. It was a bit ambitious but it set us up for the whole holiday and we all enjoyed it thoroughly.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This tour was wonderful, educating and exciting. Our tour guide was fun and knew his stuff. Riding bikes in Paris and getting on the train with the bikes was a bit tricky, but we definitely felt a sense of accomplishment when we were finished! Versailles itself was awesome. I think this tour is a great deal, considering it includes an all day excursion, admittance to the Palace and an afternoon of information and fun. Thanks!

Doing what: Paris Night Bike Tour

This was a great way to see Paris at night. My favorite thing was riding the bike around the plazas at the Louvre. We got some great shots of ourselves in front of the lit up pyramids. We covered a lot of territory, and the last hour was spent on the Seine River cruise, which gave the group time to mingle and get acquainted with each other. Our guide did a good job in leading us through the streets and giving us safety instructions for the traffic. There are more bicycle riders than ever in Paris today, so the cars are accustomed to sharing the streets with bikes. The bike route was easy, no hills to climb.

Doing what: Paris Night Bike Tour

This was an awesome way to see Paris on our first night there. We went back to all the places we biked to the next day, and nothing looks the same in proper daylight! Biking into the Louvre was especially magical - a moment I will never forget. Great guide, good wine, awesome tour.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

A fantastic day that I would probably do again just for the experience. The bike company was absolutely brilliant, guiding us through Paris, on and off the train and around Versailles. The shopping in the market was a great experience, with excellent instruction on where to go to get what you wanted. The picnic itself was stunning. Settled at the end of the canal, facing Versailles, we enjoyed a relaxed and fun lunch with no other tourists in sight other than those in the grounds of Versailles that we could see about a mile away. We got to see so much more of the grounds of Versailles and in such a great way, at the same time we got in a bit of exercise. Although I should stress at no point was the tour strenuous, just a pleasant ride.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

This was definitely a highlight of our 6 days in Paris. It was great to get out of the city and into fresh air and a bit of exercise, although it was not too strenuous. Our tour guide was excellent. We would definitely book a bike tour with this company again.

Doing what: Versailles by Bike Day Tour

I just returned from France and discovered that one of my favorite outings was the Bike Tour of Versailles. It is a wonderful and peaceful way to see the gardens and unwind from the hustle and bustle of Paris. Your guide will take you to the Versailles Marketplace to buy your lunch items, and believe me, the items such as the cheese, bread, sweet confections, fruits, and wines will not disappoint. I believe I had the best croissant and cheese ever from this beautiful marketplace. The fruits are as sweet and gorgeous as honey. The only drawback of this tour is that you will only visit the main Versailles palace, but riding through the gardens and having a nice picnic lunch on the grounds far outweighs any traditional tour that puts you on a bus. You will meet travelers from around the world, have great food and wine, share laughs, and have a day that you will never forget! So forget the bus and hop on a bike, it's the only way to truly see Paris and you'll have great stories to share and wonderful memories.
