A very informative tour - lots of information about the fabulous city of Perth you wouldn't normally notice or hear about. Rusty was a fantastic tour guide with not only great knowledge and a great story-teller but very friendly and good company for the beer at the end of the tour.
Jenny was very good, knew her knowledge, and dropped me off at Jamie Oliver's restaurant for yummy dinner afterwards. A most enjoyable night, especially as how it co-incided with The Fringe Festival, and there was more to see and do.
This was for me a taster of Perth nightlife which is fast moving with small bars opening all over the city. I really enjoyed the company, mainly Perthians , which surprised me, as I expected more overseas tourist would be in the party. The bars chosen were in places perhaps you would not normally visit, both guides were great company and their narration was entertaining and interesting. Food was interesting and the "wine" flowed as much as you wanted. Highly recommended!
Doing what: Small Bars of Perth Walking Tour
Excellent way to learn about Perth and its history. We visited all the historic buildings and learnt how Perth was established. Our guide was very friendly and very informed and showed us down laneways and told us about the changes happening in Perth. We ended up in Northbridge where all the restaurants and night life happens.
We had a wonderful evening with Sharon as our tour guide. We walked many distances and saw many neighborhoods. Sharon took us through areas that were lively with colorful light so that our seven year old could stay up as much as possible for this tour. We learned many things about Perth and Australia. The ending of the tour at the pub was a nice refreshing ending to a very pleasant evening. The only suggestion is maybe start tour a bit earlier for the tours with smaller children and ending with dining suggesting near the pub. Definitely a strong 4.5 star tour. Thank you Sharon.
