There was some confusion at first as to where we could pick the tour up. We were told at any stop, which might have been true, but no one told us the timing of the run - in the end we had to take a subway to Independence Hall to begin. It would be preferable to give an approximate time schedule. We didn't realize that when you started at 9:30, it would take at least an hour to get to our stop. But once we started it was very nice. We were actually able to get off and catch the next bus, and the stop at the Rocky steps was great, so we could run out, take pictures and get back on the bus without having to wait another 40 minutes or so for the next tour. I wish I could remember the names of our guide ( tiny with shoulder length hair) and the driver. They were great. We always make a point of taking this tour when we go to a new city and aside form the misunderstanding with the times, we were definitely happy. It was a gorgeous day and the guide was pleasant and informative.

Great walking tour. The guide was very knowledgable and receptive to questions. You need to know that it is all outside. It would be a 5 star if you could jump the line for a quick view of the Liberty Bell for example.

Ben was a terrific guide and his tour was filled with lots of historical information and fun facts for the newcomer to Philadelphia (or even for Philly or PA natives who have never been to Independence Park). I enjoyed it tremendously, even in the light rain. Kris, who came to Philadelphia for the ballpark.

A great way to learn about the history associated with the key landmarks. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we covered a lot of history. The only downside is that you need to return to tour the various buildings and the Liberty Bell (seen through a window) on your own as you only go by the outside. The tour does help you figure out what you'd like to come back and see - we did the liberty bell, the courthouse and the mint.

This tour was interesting although it was quite rushed as there is a lot to cover in short time. We didn't get to go in to see the liberty bell, looked at it through glass window.

Our tour guide was book-learning student and brought some formal knowledge to this walking tour. For example, while stopping in front of Independence Hall, the guide gave his take on historical events but the participants chimed in, too. I liked the aspect of "walking" since it made one feel like being back in the 1700s with all the physical landmarks, cobblestones, and brickwork especially great was walking thru the Franklins Post Office and then on to the outline of his family home. The mid-day slot made the tour right for encountering on-the-spot dramatic performances associated with parks and landmarks. The guide mentioned the role Franklin's wife, Deborah, played in complementing his life and times. The duration or 2.5 hours was just the right amount of time to enjoy the tour
