I took my 5 year old son along with our tour guide Chris through the the desert back country. This was an amazing trip and Chris was very knowledgable and helpful in answering questions about the various types of plants and wildlife. I enjoyed driving the Tomcar and my son was fascinated by the desert.
Our trip was geat! Our guide was very knowlegable of the desert and did a fantastic job with our group.
The trip was great. Paul the guide was very knowledgable and more than willing to relate his vast experiences in the desert. The vehicle was well set up and overall it was an excellent tour. The only real negative was that Viator had the incorrect starting time on the Voucher I had with me. Paul was there at 5:30 and per Viators voucher I was there at 6:30. That extra hour of daylight would have made the tour even better.
We thoroughly enjoyed our night tour. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the desert for our extreme adventure. There were times I was a little nervous, but our guide was amazing at navigating the flora in the desert as well as the cliffs, all while giving us expert narration. And the sunset was absolutely amazing!
What a great trip this was! Our guide was so incredibly knowledgeable and we learnt so much from him. He managed to spot both a tarantula and a rattle snake from the hummer and we stopped to get a closer (but very safe) viewing. Bright LED lights on the side of the hummer made it easy to see in the desert at night. Highly recommend.
Loved it! What can I say? The guide was awesome and really knew his stuff – everything from the trails to the desert plant life and wildlife. We chose to add on the firearms option and I have to say – our instructor totally had safety on his mind. He was a former soldier and sniper, so we knew we were getting expert guidance and we even got to keep our targets. The environment is extremely important to these guys and they make sure it’s looked after. That’s important to me too, so I am more than happy to recommend this to anyone going to Phoenix.
Amazingly fun activity! Be prepared to tear through the desert, over rocks and through streams on your ATV or dune buggy. I brought my 10 year old son and rode on a 2-seater. We had a blast!
