The tour ended at the Gems Gallery, which didn't thrill me. I also assumed we would go to the Patong area but we didn't. The tour guide was very nice though and I enjoyed visiting the temple.

This tour started good but went downhill fast. More of a hard sell than a tour. Mining was mentioned at the beginning if the tour and that many nationalities moved to Phuket. The mining museum at Tinidee was not on the agenda. Hard sell of gem stones, a visit to a shooting range, a monkey show, a baby elephant. Definitely not. Hand crafts yes. A little more Phuket, alot less retail sales would be better.

Guide, driver and vehicle were great. The tour was quite rushed at times and while we visited some authentic spots we were also taken to a couple of tourist traps such as the Gem Gallery, a souvenir shop and the cashew nut factory. Obviously commission was paid to the tour company from such shops.

PASS I would tell anyone to hire a driver if you have 2 or more in your group. Touristy stops, don't remember sovineres shop, jewelry store in description. Felt like maybe the jewelry company owned the tour group. I think most people on vacation can find plenty of sovineres to buy on there own.
