I thought the ferry ride to and from Phi Phi Island was a bit too long (something like 3 hours?!). They should have been more specific in stating the itinerary for the day. I wasn't expecting to have to go back to Phuket from Phi Phi at 2.30pm! I barely spent half a day at Phi Phi! If I knew that, I would have opted to stay there for at least one night! The lunch at Phi Phi was not terrible, but not appetizing enough.
Excellent trip. My wife was very sceptical about doing this trip as she was concerned about the kayaking. This was an excellent experience and we were well looked after both on the boat getting to Phang Nga Bay and when the kayaking began. The crew were great and the food onboard was also of a high standard. Other than alcohol all drinks were free as well.
You were allocated to 1 crew member who rowed your kayak and you just sat there admiring the views and observing the wildlife. We also went past James Bond island on the boat and took some photo's but you do not stop there on this trip.
I would recommend this trip to anyone as it is an experience I will always remember.
Tripp successful, friendly and helpful tour guide. There was tsunami alert. Patong wr been evacuated and we were on the water. It has warned us, or anyone informed.
The tour was very good, it was very well organised, everything went smoothly. We liked everyting: James Bond Island, Gypsy Village, lunch and especially swimming at the bay at the end of it. We had to change boats several times during the tour and it was an added bonus. Definetelly recommend.
Everything was great about this trip: we were picked up on time, the tour guide was extremely friendly and beauty of the Andaman Sea and the world-famous Phi Phi Islands was unbelievable! I literally could'nt believe my eyes when I saw the most clear waters, the greenest rain forests and mysterious limestone formations everywhere we looked at! I need to say the tour was organized perfectly: first we arrived to Phi Phi and had enough time to swim and - for those who wanted - to go snorkeling. Then there was a lunch, quite nice, typical Thai food, the restaurant was simple but it was right on the beach and the views were wonderful! Then we were transferred back to the ferry and given a tour around the rest of Phi Phi Islands. I think there are 6 of them all together. Of course a ferry is not as fast as a speedboat and the attention of the stuff is not so personalized but it still is quite comfortable and almost two times cheaper than the speedboat tours. I took a speedboat tour to Krabi next day, it was certainly more detailed and I saw more of interesting attractions, but ferry is good too, I enjoyed it. We arrived back to Phuket on time as well, the driver was waiting for us and drove us back to the hotel. It was a great day!
The crew on the boat were awesome, always smiling, friendly, laughed with you and the lunch provided was fantastic. Our guide went beyond his duties and went the extra mile for us taking photos and pointing other things out to us. Awesome trip :)
Great trip, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the supplies on the boat (food + drinks) and the friendliness of the guides. Thank you :)
This was my 3rd trip through Viator and once again they did not disappoint. They use the best tour company in the country you have chosen.'Tour East' was Phukets.
The Ferry took about 2 1/2 Hours riding in comfortable seats on the decks inside. - Then we were transported by small ferry to the Phi Phi Don Island after touring around Phi Phi Le Island. Lovely experience! The beach we were taken to was Long Beach and was lovely with white Sand and nice Thai meal. We went snorkelling and saw lots of lovely colourful fish on a small boat. We had about 2 hours free time then transported by small boat to pick up the Express Ferry back to the Port. All in all a long time on the Ferry but it was well worth it!
We enjoyed this tour. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also the boat was not to crowded. Went to a small beach in which we were the only group there which topped of the day (we were there about 1hr which was nice). The food was good as well. We would recommend
An amazing day - even better than we expected. Stunning scenery and very friendly and knowledgeable staff, who were really keen to make sure you enjoyed the day. I've watched some of the videos of this and they don't do it justice - you really have to be there to appreciate it in full. Aside from the natural beauty of the places visited, the boat was decent (even had clean toilets, a novelty for this kind of trip), food was really good and a plentiful supply of soft drinks (and even a beer, if you wanted it). There were enough staff too, so you never had to 'wait your turn'. I really can't recommend this enough, thank you to all who made it so good.
Thrilling and exhilarating experience. Must try at least once in your life. If you are claustrophobic better not go.
The place is really nice, taking the kayaks into the caves is a really great experience and you can see the bay and the lagoon inside the mountains in a very spectacular way. Food on board is quite good.
Unfortunately the guide kept bothering everybody with his stupid sexual double meaning humor, teasing people beyond acceptable, the paddler on the kayak did not want to enter the first cave and kept showing us that he cut his hands to enter, therefore asking for more tip, and we found this pathetic.
Regarding the tour we did not stop even for a minute at James Bond rock, other tours go on the beach and we just passed by with the boat.
They served the food and at the end the ice creams, we took one, and later we were said that the ice cream should be paid extra. I do not mind the 80 Baht, but I mind the way it has been done.
There are many companies that offer kayak tour, and you can book cheaper there. GO with them, for sure.
Just a great experience you won't forget. The guides are both fun and knowledgable, food was great, and kayaking through the caves and into the Hongs is a unique experience.
