Being a bit older (60 odd) than most of the people on the trip we were not sure how we would go but it was all wonderful. We have recommended the trip to our friends who are there soon. I would also highly recommend our driver (Shane).
Very good day out, guide very informative, sorry because I went to the Wildlife Sanctuary, I missed going to Port Douglas
Best tour guide ever--Shane. We had a spectacular day including close up visits with kangaroo, koalas, wallabies, cassowary and crocodiles. GREAT lunch in the middle of the rain forest. A super riverboat in spite of POURING rain. Shane went over the top to look after us, answer our questions (even personal ones) and make sure our every concern was thoroughly addressed. Thank you, Shane.
One of our best memories of a month long trip. Shane, the guide, made the day. He came back and picked us up, knowing we had stopped to order pizza and planned to walk back, and kept us from a miserable walk in the pouring rain. He had already taken our husbands back to the apartment. Can't say enough about his conversation, the wildlife exposure, the food, and a truly entertaining and informative day. Felt like we saw the rest of Australia , in the best way possible, on the tour. He was very responsive to our interests and questions. Great tour. Best guide we had, and we took several tours in Aus and NZ
FANTASTIC! 6 nights wasn't enough - GOT to get back and see more and do more Barrier Reef. Australia isn't the cheapest option but you don't get great for peanuts. We can't wait to get out there again.
the wildlife center and the river cruise were fantastic. daintree was beautiful, but we were only there for 30 minutes. the rest of the trip seemed to just be a time killer. in addition, our driver was rude, yelled at people for being 1-2 minutes late, and seemed bored with his job.
This was a good day trip. It was a long day, but well worth it. We would recommend it to others that wanted to see these areas
If you want to see an ancient rainforest and go where few Australians venture then this is the one for you!
Another well run day out, with plenty to do and see.The Wild Life Habitat, at Port Douglas which we included was really worth a visit. We had an hour there and did not feel rushed.Cape Tribulation was beautiful , we had a lovely lunch there and a paddle in the sea:very picturesque. The Rain forest walks were easy for moderately mobile people.I had been concerned about the degree of difficulty in relation to the possibility of high steps etc and my enquiries over a week before the excursion were not answered, which left me hoping I would not end up being a drag on every one.SUGGESTION.. Some indication please of degree of mobility required posted when listing the day trips...In all 3 great outings , fabulously friendly, staff, and every one in Cairns / Nth Queensland.
This trip felt a little rushed. A lot to see and a lot of distance travelling meant most of the time was spent on the bus. Could have done without the aussie music on way back.
our tourguide (Shane-o) rocked! he was so informative and just really knew alot. the rainforest was beautiful, lunch by Cape Tribulation was excellent, the animals were so fun. the kangaroos were super friendly. would for sure do this again.
