This was one of the best day trips I've ever experienced. The guide, Marta, was very knowledgable and personable. She went out of her way to make the day relaxing and full of small, pleasant surprises, like stopping at a roadside stand for a snack of fresh figs. The lunch restaurant was excellent and the length of the tour was just right enought to feel like I got to see everything without being so long that I lost interest.
Our return flight times had been changed to an earlier time. We were concerned that the message would not get through about the change, but the driver was waiting for us ahead of schedule. We left some items in the car at the airport, but a quick call to the phone number provided, had the driver racing back with our items.
It was a beautiful day,I still missed the promised places Vila Real and Solar Mateus.Vila Real was shown in a distance of many kilometers on the horizont.Regua and Pinhao was not interesting.I enjoyed the vintage on a wineyard. The tourist guide was a very nice, interested and good informed lady, the lunch was fantastic. The tour is absolutely a must for Porto tourists.
The flight was late, but the driver was ready and waiting for us. The drivers local knowledge managed to avoid us some nasty traffic delays.
Excellent tour guide - helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and adaptable. Just very frustrating trying to call to confirm and not hearing back pickup times.
We had excellent service from our driver who also spoke very good English. We would thoroughly recommend him to others travelling to this part of the world.
The trip as a whole was very good. I was impressed with the tour guide/driver's ability to drive on the very hilly roads in a very professional manner. All of the stops were very worthwhile. The fish choice at lunch was, however, very third-rate, which was the restaurant's fault.
The tour didn't visit Vila Real center & Mateus Palace Gardens with its famous tunnel of 123 miles 37.5 meters. Cedars and garden landscaping unparalleled in Portugal. Kind person, good driver and very poor presentations.
under my expectation. Some other interesting places as in guide internet information has not been shown
