Doing what: Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague
We found this trip very informative - especially about the Terezin prison camp. We wished we'd had a bit more time in the Terezin Ghetto to observe the town and learn more about those conditions as well. The museum offered additional great information. Highly recommend taking the time to do the day-trip from Prague.

Doing what: Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague
Very interesting tour and the tour guides really know what they are talking about. Not too far away from Prague either. Also it isn't too cold if you decide to go in the winter months.

Doing what: Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague
We definitely learned a lot on this tour, and I would say that if you have a few days in Prague, it is worth it to make the trip out to Terezin. This tour does focus on the small fortress more than the village, but I thought that it was fine that way. I think that there is more to see at the small fortress than in the village. My one complaint is that the guide that we had for our walk through the small fortress was not so great at English and didn't know how to answer questions. I think that she had memorized what to say about each of the different areas, so when anyone asked questions about anything else, she became very confused.

Excellent tour with a very professional, informative and knowledgeable guide. A difficult subject to have a tour on but was done with sensitivity and integrity.

Doing what: Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague
It was a very real life experience that needs to be seen to understand how terrible the conditions were for the prisoners in these camps.

Doing what: Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague
Very interesting and very moving to the concentration camp. This was a first for us it helped us to understand what thousands of people went through during WWII. The part that showed drawings from children was particularly moving.

Doing what: Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague
A visit to the Terezin Concentration Camp is both harrowing and rewarding. Although Terezin was not a death camp over 80,000 men, women and children who passed through Terezin were tranferred to death camps and were killed. The museum is well planned and the stories of some survivors well told. It is difficult to accept however that so many innocent people, especially the children were sent here and never returned. The history of Terezin before it's concentration camp days is interesting and the guided tour through the fortifications amazing. If you get a chance visit Terezin, you will not leave unaffected by the experience.
