We loved this village from old times. Well worth the drive and our guide was good too
The tour was good but there was a second non-English speaking group with us so the guide had to divide her time between us. The timing of the tour is rough because there is no lunch stop. I suspect it starts when it does so you can see the changing of the guard but we missed it by five minutes because the bus had to drop off some people at a different tour. In hindsight it would have been better to just rent an audio guide at the Castle.
We were sure our guide was an ex-preschool teacher, and a very bossy one at that! The bus drive was quite pleasant, seeing a bit of the Prague countryside, and the castle tour a bit disappointing. A quick 30 minute tour through the castle, without any extra time to 'poke around' ourselves to explore. Wouldn't bother again with this tour.
Long drive to the location, but well worth it..
Our guide was very knowledgeable, informative and interesting. She was very attentive, careful and organised, so we felt very well looked after. She answered our questions with the most surprising and satisfying level of detail. I learned far more than I expected to. It was a fantastic day.
Even with large weekend crowds, moving about the Prague Castle was a breeze, the guide knew all the tiny details of the complex, showed us a lot of hidden treasures, and was able to keep up with Cathedral queue, Guard-Change sched, lunch-break craziness, and Gold line crowds.

Amazing place. Fascinating history. Beautiful town. Long trip well worth it.
Absolutely not to be missed
Our guide was very proficient in the English language and was able to answer all of our questions. The castle tour is a must see in Prague. It would be shameful to miss it.
Once we reached the castle our guide came into his own. 50mins spent in a minibus before the walk was boring. Wonderful City at Christmas. Do the opera and other concerts.
The only downside to this tour, was the bus was extremely uncomfortable for such a long trip. Also the tour was booked in English, but the guide spoke in two other languages, so after a while you switched off, cause she was going so fast to get all the languages in. Cesky Krumlov was beautiful, such a wonderful place, I would visit again
My day tour to Cesky Krumlov was fantastic. Good transport, guide and great experience.
This was a little disapointing for me as l had such high expectations for this trip. I felt it was a little bit cheesy and comercialised. Fab for photos but it looked a bit like a false village for tourism. other than that had a good day all the same but felt prague was more the real thing.
