Doing what: Karlstejn Castle Half-Day Trip from Prague
Better done in Summer not late October since they close off part of the castle.

Doing what: Prague Castle Walking Tour
Excellent tour and a nice view of the castle area. In particular the guide was ver entusiastic and "connoisseur" of the history of his country.

Doing what: Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague
This tour was outstanding. I would highly recommend it. It took approx 2.5 hours to get to Cezky-Krumlov. As we drove out of Prague, our guide told us about many important buildings as we passed them. Important points of interest along the Bohemian countryside were also pointed out to us. Cezky-Krumlov is a storybook-picturesque medieval village with absolutely spectacular views. It is full of shops and eateries, and the entire town can be seen in relatively little time. Our trip included a tour of the castle, which was very interesting. The trip back to Prague took about 2 hours. Altogether we were gone from about 9:50 AM to 7:00 PM. My only tiny criticism was that the bus was about 35-40 minutes late picking the group up in Prague, but in the end it was a completely enjoyable and memorable day. Our Czech tour guide was outstanding, speaking English very well, as well as German and Spanish.

Doing what: Prague Castle Walking Tour
be prepared for lots of walking up and down hill. while there is an audio tour we learned a lot from the guide. this company combines languages so guide was doing the tour in both english and german which was distracting.

Doing what: Karlstejn Castle Half-Day Trip from Prague
It was fair. I like the tour guide. Very old man with good knowledge. Wish to spend more time with the castle and do the Tour #3 tower tour, but there is not enough time.

Doing what: Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague
Considering the large number of people on the group, the small bus was not of very good standard.
Delays were experienced with the Guide translating into other languages when the tour was clearly advertised as English speaking.
The representative at the Tour Booth did not arrive until approximately 9am whilst the tickets clearly stated that assembly should be at 8.45am for a 9am start. This delayed the start of the tour as well as causing confusion amongst the travellers.

Doing what: Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague
We had a wonderful day here. It was a charming city and the tour was great. Our guide was very informative. We would have loved to stay overnight here since it was a 3 hour drive each way from Prague. We would have liked to have known it was that far before our trip.

Doing what: Prague Photography Walking Tour: Castle Walk
This was an excellent tour with some interesting, practical, useful tips for taking better photos. Our guide, Vladimir, was charming, professional and knowledgeable about the city as well as being an expert photographer. He contacted us ahead of time to confirm where we were going to meet. Many of the streets we visited were a bit less travelled and that made for more time for photos and also for less cluttered photos. We felt we had seen areas of the city that we would not have seen otherwise. There was lots of chances to practice taking pictures and he made lots of helpful suggestions. I know this trip was a bit more expensive but it was well worth the cost. Vladimir was willing to use whatever we were comfortable with and work with that. His knowledge of cameras and photographic techniques and equipment is much greater than mine but he did not make me feel as if I had a lot to learn. He did not confuse or preach but showed through example. I felt I really learned something and felt more comfortable with my camera. This tour also reminded me of some things I had learned before and helped me keep those more firmly in my mind when shooting pictures. Both my companion and I agreed that this was an excellent tour. We had very different cameras but were both able to learn something and improve our picture-taking. Excellent!
