Nice day trip from Prague. Beautiful, medieval town. Great for walking, shopping, eating and drinking.
Doing what: Cesky Krumlov Day Trip from Prague
The tour to Cesky Krumlov was not too long and the sights in the town were well worth the trip. Too bad our tour guide had a real problem speaking English since this was a English speaking tour. It would have helped as well if they gave us a simple map of the town when they gave us some free time before the castle tour. Otherwise it was a good tour.

Cesky Krumlov has been on my "bucket list" for years so on a trip to Prague decided to do a Viator trip. It was all I had imagined - wonderful place. The guide was excellent
Only thing that was a concern was the driver - he seemed to travel too fast on the very
narrow winding roads whilst carrying on a conversation at the same time.Overheard
other comments to this effect also.

We didn't realise there was a huge marathon on the day of our tour! Half the city was blocked off. The tour guide did a fantastic job of getting around the road closures, showing us all the sights. Quite a long route, perhaps because of the marathon, but a great experience. Would recommend.

The tour was OK but the site was very crowded. Since the tour was timed to see part of the changing of the guard, that meant it was even more crowded than it might be at another time of day. Also the Royal Palace was closed (as it is 2 weeks every 5 years for showing of the royal jewels) - but no rebate was available - and no mention of that closure appeared on any of the promo material. All participants were disappointed. Too we were rushed through St. George's Basilica (the guide said the line there was unusually long), and basically just walked in and walked out without waiting for the line to move through the whole building. Nor did we get to see inside the Golden Lane stores - again simply rushed through. My friends who did the Free Walking Tour in Prague the same day saw more of the castle area than those of us who took this paid tour. I don't know the guide's name, but he had a tendency to look at the object or building (rather than his customers) when explaining something - and thus often couldn't be heard.

The weather was awful and no-one can control that, but our Guide, took risks with safety that were foolish. When we arrived at Cesky Krumlov, water was flowing down the road and it was ankle deep. There were some much older people on our tour, but he told them to walk through the water. Of course, it was not possible to go that way, so they had to walk through the water again. He was not a good guide,
. He spoke only to the people close to him. We were disappointed as we will not have the chance to be here again. The guide at the castle was excellent.

Did not learn much about Cesky Krumlov. The walking tour was completely useless. It is a beautiful place but I would recommend going on your own or with a different group.

This tour was ok a little boring though. Palace was good to see but actual city is pretty boring. Would only suggest this your if you have nothing else to do

This was the best tour on our trip. The village of Cesky Krumlov is a real gem and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the town and the castle. Carmella (our guide) was just excellent, she was friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. Thank you Carmella for a great day!

The tour guide didn't provide much background information or history about the locations we drove through on the trip from Prague. The bus trip is very beautiful. He simply pointed out the landmarks and points of interest. I would have liked to hear more about the town. The guide did not lead the tour in the castle. The price of the ticket pays for the bus and your admission to the castle. I would have done this tour again, but I geel like it is very overpriced for what you get.
