Doing what: Viking Horse-Riding Tour and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik
We loved the horseback riding but it was definitely different from what we were accustomed to in the US. Even though the Icelandic horses are smaller, there was no stepstool to get on the horse - and they made you get off the horse mid way, so the horse had a break (not easy to do if you are short).....also this was more like riding English style than Western which is typically what novices are assigned in US. Our group was about half first time riders and half more experienced riders. That being said this ride had way more fast trots that one is used to when you don't ride oftem. It can be a little intimidating to new riders, but I do have to say the horses were incredibly calm and stable and I never felt there would be issues. Just know that you will go up/down hills - through a few streams/rivers and steep embankments - the horses are stable, but if you don't ride often might be a little scary. The owners of the stable are great and help you get all the gear on (they provide jackets, boots, hats, rain pants, gloves, scarfs, etc..). Blue Lagoon was heaven ......and much appreciated after the horse ride. I am always sore after riding since I don't do often, but not this time. Know that the Blue Lagoon part is only the bus ride to/from - doesn't include your entry fee. Treat yourself to the spa package which includes lunch buffet! If you love sushi, herring, fish, lamb - you will enjoy! Dressing rooms are typical European - no changing rooms, be ready for that. If you have time (and money) get one of the in water massages, I have never had such a relaxing massage.

Doing what: Reykjavik Sightseeing and Blue Lagoon Tour
The Blue Lagoon was awesome! worth trying once! But very expensive. It cost 60 dollars to get in. Reykjavik has over 100 local thermal pools and in walking distance from hotels. Much cheaper to get in about 5 to 10 dollars. Big difference if your on a budget.

Blue lagoon was fantastic but the balance of the trip was overrated.

Doing what: Reykjanes Peninsula and Blue Lagoon Day Trip from Reykjavik
I booked this tour for my husband's family as well as my family and they enjoyed it. It was nice to see the sea birds and the varying landscapes. The Blue Lagoon is nice, but take an early bus back--we spent about 3 hours there for lunch and swimming that was plenty of time. Most of our group promptly fell asleep on the bus ride back to the hotel from the Blue Lagoon.

Doing what: Blue Lagoon Spa Roundtrip Transport from Reykjavik
Bit of a late pick up from my hotel, but not the fault of the driver - but two other passengers! Had a fantastic time in the Blue Lagoon while the coach stored my luggage. When I came out of the Blue Lagoon I found I was the only one heading to Keflavik on the 12.00 run. The company laid on a mini bus just for me! The lady driver was was brilliant, we chatted all the way to the airport and the coach driver who looked after my luggage was very friendly and very helpful. I can definitely recommend this trip!

Doing what: Reykjavik Super Saver: Blue Lagoon Round-Trip Transport plus Gulfoss and Geysir Half-Day Tour
Excellent combination of the most important landmarks in Iceland! The only thing i did not like so much was that we were in Gulfoss so little time..... Understandable because this is a tour... but if you want to have some more time in Gulfoss you should take the Golden Circlo Tour in the morning...not in the afternoon. Nevertheless, this one (Blue Lagoon, Gulfoss and Geysir Express) is worth going and taking it if you are in Reykjavik for a short period of time.

Doing what: Reykjavik Super Saver: Blue Lagoon Round-Trip Transport plus Gulfoss and Geysir Half-Day Tour
The tour is great and absolutely worth the money. Would have liked to stay a little longer at Blue Lagoon and Gullfoss. This is actually two different tours put together, so you have to choose your self witch stop ypu want to eat, and we didnt get much time to see Gullfoss unfortunately..

Doing what: Blue Lagoon Spa Roundtrip Transport from Reykjavik
This was one of the most enjoyable parts of our holiday in Iceland.
We booked the 4.15pm departure from Reykjavik. And departed Blue Lagoon at 7pm.
We would have liked to have longer there.

We had a really good day on both these trips. Unfortunately, I cannot post any photos as my camera was stolen at the Blue Lagoon.

Doing what: Viking Horse-Riding Tour and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik
The excursion was enjoyable, although I think better communication is needed once you're dropped off at the main terminal. In terms of the ride, it was quite relaxed and the scenery beautiful. Also enjoyed the breakfast waiting for us when the ride was over and the people who took care of the horses and employees at the house were very nice. As for the Blue Lagoon - it was wonderful. I do think, however, that you should advise how much the entrance fee is before someone signs up for this.

Doing what: Blue Lagoon Spa Roundtrip Transport from Reykjavik
Good transportation to the airport, but the Blue Lagoon is just O.K. If you have extra time to kill, but it is very expensive and I think good for only one hour.
