Doing what: KD Rhine Pass from Mainz
We booked this trip on a beautiful hot day in July. We left from Mainz. The sight seeing was amazing! The boat was very comfortable with good food and bathrooms. When we got on the boat we told the guy taking the ticket that we needed to be back in Mainz and he told us the stop we needed to get off on which was right around lunch time. We had two hours to browse and then boarded the boat for the return voyage. I would love to do it again and buy three or four days passes as several of the stops would be great to overnight at. Definitely recommend it!

Doing what: Rhine Valley Trip from Frankfurt including Rhine River Cruise
The guide was excellent and proved for a laugh out loud day. The tour is well timed - as a lot of these tours can feel rushed and not give you enough time to enjoy. One of the best tours I enjoyed while touring Europe.

Doing what: KD Rhine Pass from Koblenz
Koblenz is an interesting City in an exceptional situation with the two rivers and a cable car ride to enjoy as well as a good base to take advantage of the many cruise boats.

Doing what: Heidelberg and Rhine Valley Day Trip from Frankfurt
Brilliant full day tour. Was hoping to have more time in Heidelberg but need to catch for the Rhine tour. Guide was really great and the sites visited are also nice. Recommended for those who visit Frankfurt.

Good experience. Would have preferred traditional German food on the cruise not at the restaurant on land.

Doing what: KD Rhine Pass from Mainz
Nice cruise from Mainz to Koblenz (6 hours). Cool to see castles on the Rhine. Train on both ends about a 15-20 min walk from dock. A little hard to hear announcer on top deck, but they do speak English. Beer, soft drinks, lunch available. One note: If you print your "voucher" online, you still need to stop by the K-D kiosk to trade it in for a ticket

Doing what: KD Rhine Pass from Mainz
A beautiful low cost way to cruise the Rhine. Get in line early (~20 minutes) if you want to sit at a table on the main deck...they fill up fast. Although the sun deck vistas are beautiful, just remember to bring a hat! The boat was packed after just a few stops so the earlier stop you get on, the better. Our plan was to hop on and off of the boat at different locations, but found that the better idea was to pick a destination down the river (like Koblenz) and then take the regional trains back to stop at some of the towns. Usually there are trains every hour. All in all a good experience.

It was wonderful! Seeing the castles, vineyards, and towns were a plus. Definitely worth the trip! We wished we could have gotten off and on more often to enjoy each town.

Doing what: KD Rhine Pass from Koblenz
The boat was very nice and the sights wonderful. Parking was a problem in Koblenz though, so it would be nice to warn people who plan to drive there to arrive extra early.

Doing what: KD Rhine Pass from Bonn
Yikes! Well, what can I say! Find a schedule and know what you are getting into. We thought we could go from Bonn to Mainz....... Nope, it doesn't go that far on one boat. So, we took a train to Koblenz, you have to catch the 9:30 to go all the way to Mainz, so we ended up in Bingen and took another train to get to Mainz. Turned out to be a Royal hassle. But the ride on the Rhine itself was stunning. We were on the boat for 6 Hours. much too long. I would probably take a train to a city much farther south and see the major castles and Die Loreley and spend less time on the boat.

George the tour guide was excellent. We won the liquor prize...an ounce of Kirsch-likor. We especially enjoyed the cable t-bar lift, ride. It was an excellent trip over all.

Doing what: Rhine Valley Trip from Frankfurt including Rhine River Cruise
Enjoyable day, great views from the river of the many castles. Lunch was an experience in the overly decorated restaurant. Came back there for the wine tasting which was a joke, five tiny glasses half filled with wine. Miss this part by going for a walk. George the tour guide was informative and fun.
