Excellent must tour
Great Easy and Safe Tour. Lovely experienced guide Lewis. Lots of time for the photos so the half day is enough.
A must if you got to Rio. This statue is incredible (and one of the 7 wonders of the world!). The tour was well ran thanks to Anna. She is a carioca and was very informative throughout.
Great tour, takes the hassle out of planning transportation and ticket reservation times to see the sights. The weather was spotty that day, taking advantage of the few clouds in the morning we went to Sugarloaf first.
The trip was well organized. However I would not do the Sugar Loaf tour and opt for the Christ the Redeemer
tour. You have the same view points and they are very impressive. You can then avoid the lines and wait times for a duplicate view.
Good but needed to chase both Viator and the local tour company about details of pick up - could a timetable not be e mailed or put on the web site
Again a lot of disorganizement in the busses. You are wondering why ?
This guy was more able to tell us some interesting stuff on the way. But to tell the people that you have to arrive early in the morning to avoid the crowds and then take your time again for a selling talk of a dvd, doesn't make sense to me. Pick up at the hotel was 08.30, we were in the train at 10.40.
One bonus point at this trip, we were delivered back at the hotel in stead of the tour of the day before.
So sorry, but I can't recommend these trips !
This wasn't really a good value. The tour saved us from standing in line to buy tickets, BUT we still had to wait 40 minutes after our group arrived until we got on the train. And then you have to wait again at the top to come down, so being on a tour didn't really save any time or hassle. You can book your train departure tickets in advance on the internet. The train isn't that great -- mostly you're in the forest, with only a few viewpoints. An alternative is to take a van from Praca do Lido (near Posto 2 on Copacabana Beach) to the station half-way up the hill, and then transfer to the National Park vans which take you to the top. I don't know how the price compares, but we would probably do that next time.
We only had 2 days in Rio and we heard that this full day ( over 9 hour) tour was the best way to see Rio, in a limited time, and it didn't disappoint. We new that it was the peak tourist season and were prepared for the crowds, but we moved along at a good pace all day, the views were spectacular, the meal was fabulous, and our guides were excellent.
I had an amazing day in Rio, saw Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain in 40 degrees!!! and had a great mid-day meal. But the tour ran out time so I never saw the Metropolitan Cathedral or the Cinelandia Square as stated in the tour brochure.
It was great! They were extremely knowledgable about the city, and it's history. They also catered to all the different language speaking clients. Highly recommended
Exactly what we expected of this tour! Excellent value for the money.
A definitely nessesary and sufficient tour in Rio. You heard about it and seen it (in photos and videos) many times - but you should take this tour yourself. The service was accurate, good and effective. Thank you.
Excellent tour, well organised, fantastic views, helpful guides
