Definitely go early to beat the crowd. It makes a huge difference!
Very good,must see
This is EXCELLENT!
It was a right choice that i picked the Early access to the Statue. The pick up time was just okay, not so early yet we arrived there as the first visitor in the place. Carmen was great and helpful. She is knowledgeable and full of excitement. She also offered us to take photos one by one.
We own the place on the early minutes. By the time we already had gone to every corner of the statue and the viewing deck, the crowd started to appear.
The highlight that I will straight get to is that if you pick this tour, you will have supreme, premium early access to Corcovados Cristo Redentor. You will get the most magnificent views and shots of yourselves and Rio without the crowds and that my friends, is priceless. It is worth the money you pay because no one else will have that peaceful access to the Cristo Redentor. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great history lesson all throughout the tour. He was a sweet and happy man, as accommodating as you need him to be, so relax, sit back and enjoy the tour!
A wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide, and a fun tour that was just the right length! Very safe driver.
Would recommend to a friend
Definitely worth the early start before the crowds. It was getting very busy by the time we left with coaches etc still arriving. Same with Sugar Loaf Mountain straight after. We were all done by lunch time which left the rest of the day free. Margo was a brilliant guide too.
enjoyable day spent on both the sugar loaf, and Corcovado mountains! tout guides were excellent ! would recommend to anyone!
You can see the Christ the Redeemer anywhere you are in Rio. Took the cog train to Corcovado Mountain. This is the best place to see in Rio de Janeiro!
This is a great tour for one day. But it would be better if Christ Redeemer can be arranged in the morning because in the afternoon it is hard to take a picture in front of the status due to the sunlight.
We were picked up at about 7:30am from our hotel Windsor Atlantica, and travelled in a comfortable van to the monument. We reached the site as promised before the crowds. We had plenty of time to take photos and admire the views. We were returned to our hotel by 10:30am - as we did not opt to take the Sugarloaf Mountain trip. Our guide was enthusiastic and entertaining. We think he was from Carioca Tropical Experience/Amigo Tours. The premium we paid for the Early Access was well worth it,
The tour provider was fine. The problem with our trip was based on the last couple not being ready on time, and apparently not providing the right name to their hotel. We ended up being about 40 minutes late, which of course meant we didn't get there before everyone else. However, we were still early enough that only about 30 people were already there, but five minutes after we arrived there were about 100 people there. The concept is good, but if you have late participants, it ruins the whole point of paying the money for the early access tour. Again, not the tour company's fault. Great idea. Would be nice if they had a sunrise tour...
The tour was worth it! Wonderful places and beautiful city.
The guide was very knowledgeable, and had good hold on English.
There was a lot of time wasted in picking up and dropping guests. So, if you know the city I would suggest going on your own.
The local company did a good job of communicating with me but unfortunately there were not enough people booked for the day that I wanted to do the flight. The company did offer alternative dates, but I either had other activities or it was after my departure from Rio. However, I was able to book a helicopter tour with a different company after I arrived in Rio and I highly recommend doing a flight. The views from Sugarloaf and Corcovado are amazing, but the view from the helicopter was the best. Make sure it is the twelve minute flight that flies over the beaches and Corcovado.
Doing what: Rio de Janeiro Helicopter Tour
I was picked up on time, the tour guide was good, and the bus was comfortable. This tour was not what I had read about or what I expected - we were there well after sunrise and it was quite crowded when we arrived. If you have the time, it is definitely worth going up twice. In the morning, the sun is shining on the statue of Christ the Redeemer, and in the late afternoon or early evening the sun is shining down over the city and Sugarloaf in the morning, you are looking into the sun for this incredible view.
The tour was well worth it, as it is was very convenient saved a lot of precious time. The guide was also very informative.

This was an excellent tour and worth the price for the beautiful panoramic views as the vistas were simply amazing. However, the tour was poorly executed. There was confusion as to WHERE we were to be picked up even though we had confirmed both through Viator and through the local tour company TWICE! Therefore, we were picked up late almost 30 minutes. Secondly, each segment of the tour had different tour guides which was frustrating. Also, this was booked as a full day tour, but we got combined with others who were only on one or two sections of the tour and time was wasted picking up and dropping off tourists. To top it off, we had both LUNCH and DINNER at the SAME RESTAURANT. The guide for the restaurant made us wait over an hour after lunch was finished before the bus came to pick us back up. This should never have happened on a very expensive full day tour. A lot of time is wasted by having to travel around the city to pick up the tourists which took about an hour at pick up and an hour at drop off. It's a waste of time. The Plataforma Samba Show was interesting but it was a bit tatty. The costumes were pretty but needed mending, some of the show girls had tears in their stockings, and what was worse was that the showgirls came out into the audience trying to sell their barely covered bodies for pictures with the audience. Then when you didn't purchase a photo, they snarled at you. This was not appreciated by the women of the group.
The tour was outstanding. The guide spoke English very well and I will use Viator again when the next occasion comes up.

This tour picks you up from your hotel and takes you to Sugar Loaf mountain and Christ the Redeemer statue. Please be prepared to make several stops to pick up other tourists. This is nothing new so I'm not sure why other reviewers are bringing this up. If speed and efficiency is what you desire then book a private tour! Our tour guide was knowledgable and spoke excellent Spanish, Italian, English and Portugese. I was not bothered by the fact that he had to speak 3-4 languages to explain the tour. The tour did take you around to see a few sights in Rio. The only stop we made was to the cathedral to take pictures. In hindsight, touring from a bus and not stopping to take pictures is of no real value. However it is a good way to see the city and then plan to come back to certain sights that interest you. All in all, I think the tour was ok but a bit overpriced. I would recommend just doing one of these tours by themselves and free up your day to something else
This tour was marred by bad weather, and it was a bit annoying hearing 3 different languages on the tour. Stopping at the hotels was also a bit annoying. The Brazillian steakhouse was great, and it was fun walking around the fruit market.
I have made bookings for years with Viator, and this one was so disappointing I left half way through... I paid a lot of money for this tour. It started by the bus being 45 minutes late, the guide was very laid back and after doing a 11 day tour with gate1 travel I was expecting a little more, should I say I didn't learn anything about this city from him, he was to busy flirting with a young Brazilian woman which enjoyed lunch and the afternoon tour at his expense. The lunch was at a Brazilian restaurant which was nice, but out of all the places in Rio we were going back to the same place for Dinner.......so disappointing I didn't bother..... probably should let people know that you go to the same restaurant twice!!!!

Very good tour. Great way to experience a lot of Rio sites in one day.
We loved seeing Rio from both Sugar Loaf and Corcovdo and the fun ride on the cog railway. The rhythms of the samba show were really great, along with the costumes.
Tour guide explained everything very well on tour.
After being picked up at 7am on the dot, we picked up two more couples and we were off tour ended up just being five people total. Along the way the guide made pleasant conversation and pointed out items of interest . Once towards the top of the summit, we switched vans to a van operated by the attraction. When we reached the top, we were the only people up there. It was incredible and almost unreal! They are not lying when they say you can get completely unobstructed photos. We got 30 minutes up there more than enough time and headed back. I was back in my hotel room by 11am. Some tips: Bring warm clothes even if its warm at your hotel. Tends to get chilly up there. Also, look for the silver Mercedes van when trying to identify which bus you are on.
This tour was amazing!
