Thank you so much for your amazing service and an amazing day!!!
Looking fwd to repeat this!!
Although the weather turned out to be bad, our experience was anything but! Our tour guide was awesome and made sure we got the most out of the day! Very helpful and informative, full of energy and passion for the city. Would definety book again as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Great trip with fantastic views, the Samba show was really entertaining and the food was great. Picking up all the people is the worst part of the trip as it takes so long. The guide forgot my hotel and drove past it at midnight so delayed in getting back to hotel.
Not just a walk by The Favelas, but actually walking into them. A real interesting place. Had great weather in August.
We booked this tour with Viator as we have used Viator several times before, and the local tour operators used are always reliable.
Our guide from Amigo Tours, Guilherme, picked us up right on time to start our tour. Unfortunately the weather was terrible and there was heavy fog. They offered to post-pone the tour to either later in the afternoon or the next day. But unfortunately we were unable to take the offer as we were flying out of Rio that very afternoon.
And so they took us up to see Christ the Redeemer anyway although they told us that we won't be able to see anything. We saw Christ the Redeemer but just barely and there was zero view from the top, but we were happy to have been able to just be there and see the statue anyway.
To make up for our disappointment, they actually took us on a short city tour in the car. Our guide also made the effort to stop at the Selaron steps and let us walk all the way down to admire the tiles on the steps, and had the car waiting at the bottom for us, while he explained to us all about the steps.
We went up Sugar Loaf mountain next and again there was pretty much no view. But luckily after about half an hour, the fog began to lift and we did manage to get a decent view of the city.
The guide and the tour operator were very apologetic about the whole trip. We would have taken up their offer to post-pone the trip if we had the time. Overall however, we were very pleased with the service provided and the fact that they bothered to try and give us something extra to make up for the bad weather.
Even when the weather isn and #39;t ideal, the tour group definitely make the best out of a bad situation!! Absolutely enjoyed both our tours and the people involved! Both tour guides were incredible, fun and informative. They definitely do everything to make your day great and unforgettable. Thanks guys!!
This really was a great way to experience more than just the tourist traps of Rio. Daniel was fantastic - passionate about his city and guiding. It was a bonus that along the way we met many people who knew Daniel personally which really added to the authenticity - I felt like a local rather than a tourist. Getting around via public transport built my confidence to do it on my own for the rest of the week. It was great to visit Santa Teresa although this was the first stop of the day and everything was closed.
Excellent tour - comfortable transportation, and Alex was a great tour guide - very knowledgeable about the history of Brazil and had a great, good-natured sense of humor - especially when talking about football with a couple of German tourists! The Favela was a real highlight!
My trip to Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour were outstanding. It was a trip which took my breath away, and once I was on top, having the view and wide spread of land spread underneath me, has an everlasting effect on me. I will advise you to have this type of tour if you are about to visit Rio De Janeiro, I thought I would have done it on my own, but no, I wouldn't have been able to see and visit these places, as the way it was all co-ordinated and planned by the tour leader himself. Talking about the tour leader, he was a guy full of spirit. As he was explaining all about the places we were in, and, in between he joked and made sure to keep that smile on your face. His English was perfect by the way, so there was no doubt that I would not get an answer off him whenever I asked the question. Midway during the tour, we were taken to a restaurant where the food still bursts my taste buds whenever I seem to think about it... So all in a short phrase,it was a perfect day to remember, it was a remarkable holiday, and worth the money spent on it. Go for it... you know you want to...
This was just awesome!!!! Our tour guides were wonderful but the star of the show was definitely The Redeemer. After we snapped our pics and selfies, I just had to take a moment to soak it all in. I couldn't believe that I was really there. Very humbling. Just amazing. You. Must. Go.
It goes without saying that the sights were impressive and the views like no other! But Saloman was key to the experience. He was interesting, knowledgeable and so willing to please and share his knowledge of Rio.
OMG this was the highlight of my visit to Rio, this was awesome! I sat in the front of the helicopter - it was so cool, Im terrified of heights and just couldnt believe my luck, it was an absolutely thrilling experience. The day before I went to the Sugar Load and Redeemer and the weather was very cloud and no visibility and the next day was the heli ride and was in for a treat as the cloud cleared. Thanks guys this was fabulous.

Tour guides were great
Enjoyable day out to visit two Icons of Rio Weather can be changeable so it is just your luck. We were lucky
The tour was well organized and the tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately the weather didn't coooperate, but that wasn't the tour operators fault.
Breath taking. Very well organized tour with diversified group of customers around 20 in a same bus consisting of British, Irish, American, Italiano, Japanese, and Spanish speaking. The tour guide spoke all of these languages except for Japanese. Very impressive.
United States of ...
Nice tour but spent 2 hours picking up and dropping off tourists!
Guide, although friendly, really had no information. We should have just taken a bus.
Waited over an hour with multiple calls for pickup. Finally I was told that the tour was canceled and I was rebooked for the next day. Guides were just OK. Not much useful information. LOTS of wasted time waiting for various buses. Very nice lunch.
It would have been nice if the tour guide was a little bit more knowledgeable on all of Rio and it's culture. I asked some questions regarding diversity and it was like a deer in headlights. With so many people coming from around the world, I would expect the tour guides no matter which tour to be pretty well versed on a myriad of topics.
The price, what is available at 60 USD was charged 160 USD by Viator. Its a standard package and didn't offer anything different then a dime a dozen tours available through the hotel at a far far lesser cost.
This tour was amazing, would definitely recommend it. The guide and the driver where so nice.
