Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
This was an excellent trip. The morning portion which was a city tour and sugarloaf tram and view was unbelievable. Our guide was excellent and took the time to fill us in on all the information regarding the things we were seeing. She made sure that we all stayed together and were all accounted for before going from one step to the other, even within the same tour. For example, there were several different stops in the Sugarloaf tour, and she made sure we were all together before going to the next step.
The afternoon portion was Corcovado and the statue, which was truly incredible. However, we had a different guide for this portion who was not nearly as good as the one in the morning. He would go on out in front and just expect everyone to stay with him. We did get split up on different train rides back down, and were expected to find him when he got back. Fortunately, no one got lost.
All things cosidered, a wonderful day.

It's a great tour of two prime tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro. It is professionally organized. It should not be missed by any first-time visitor to Rio.

Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
You have to do this tour if you are in Rio, the only thing if they could change the sequence since we did Christ Redeemer in the afternoon and could not get a good picture because of the sun behind the statue. Very disappointing. Also the guide spoke several languages and she would forget what she had told people, because several times we were waiting for others to come back because they misunderstood her directions. Quite a bit of wasted time doing that. Also do not do this during Carnival or any other busy time in Rio, You spend most of your time waiting in line because of the crowds.

Great tour! Takes you all over and to the must see places while in RIO. Well worth it the price. Look for monkeys in the trees at the Sugar Loaf!

Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
Excellent trip, no complaints, value for money ok. I was booked with Grey Line, pickup at the hotel worked well. Christ Redeemer Tour was particularly good - in fact it took up a full half day. The guide was fine but was dealing with multiple languages which meant we got minimal information in about 5 languages. It would have been nice to have the guide dedicated to English and able to spend time talking about Rio, its origin, history etc.so we could get a feel fr the city.

Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
Overall a very good trip, well organised with a helpful guide. Travellers should know however that it would actually be very easy to undertake the trips by themselves as taxis are very cheap to get around and entry/tickets aren't that expensive. Doing the tour though saved any hassle and meant we could queue jump. Make sure you are on time with these trips. One couple were 15 minutes late so the coach left without them. Another negative is that you have to keep calling the tour company to check re pick up points/times. They do not phone you. From a customer service point of view communication could be greatly improved. But the actual tours are good.

Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
We had a rather scary moment on the cable car at Sugar Loaf Mountain when it twice stuck in mid air and could not get to the top. It went back down and made it at the 3rd attempt. Also, Joe, the Courier told us to meet him at a certain time to go back down but we were not late and he had already gone down without us. Fortunately we went down ourselves with 2 other men who were on the trip. Otherwise we would have missed the coach! We were not impressed witht he lunch provided.

Doing what: Sugar Loaf Mountain Half-Day Tour
The tour was OK, but they took so long to pickup and drop us off that we spent the whole day on this. The tour was supposed to start at 8am but it was 9:30 am that we left. The trip was for 4 hours and we thought it will finish at 12 noon, but they brought us back at 3 pm, dropping off people. We had planned something at 1pm which we couldn't do. So, the 4 hour tour took most of our day. We were picked up at the pier and the tour guide had to identify herself which tour company she was representing, she had nothing and we wandered around. If she had identification it would have been less hassle. If they can keep the time properly the tour would have been good. They do need to keep the time they say. That is most important. Once we were on the cable cars, it was OK.

Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
We were supposed to do this day trip on 27th January, were given an 8:40am pick up time by the Tour Company. Due to traffic we got to the pickup at 8:43am and waited 40 mins before we realised that the tour company had gone and did not wait for us for even 3 mins which we found unacceptable. We rescheduled to 8th February, got to the pick up early and a good job we did as the tour company turned up at 8:30am this time. They did not seem sure which bus to put us on so added to our already mixed feelings about the company's organisation. The day overall was good but the lunchbreak was unnecessarily long (2hrs) and when we started the afternoon tour - the company did not seem to know which buses to put people on. So overall ok, but not impressed with Tour Company.

Doing what: Corcovado Mountain, Christ Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain Day Tour
The sights were incredibly beautiful. But the organization was disappointing, as most of the time was spent to pick up or drop off people at their hotels, they couldn't pick us up from our hotel, as it wasn't in their pick up zone, and we had to contact them first in order to get this information at all. We took a cab to the pick up point they suggested. After having experienced other tour providers, which got in contact with our hotels and arranged everything smoothly,we were unimpressed by this company. The lunch was okay in a nice area and restaurant. It would be better to arrange this tour privately to save time, but in the end we saw all the sights and tickets+lunch were all included as mentioned in the itenary.
