Riviera Maya & the Yucatan Travel Tips
The state of Quintana Roo, Mexico's only Caribbean real estate, stretches north from the border with Belize to the extreme northeastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula. Its barrier reef - the world's second largest - runs almost this entire distance, ending at Isla Mujeres.
This and the other reefs along the coast provide a profusion of excellent diving and snorkeling sites ranked among the world's best. Quintana Roo is also home to several impressive Mayan ruins and to resorts of every size and flavor.
