This was an excellent tour. The Borghese Gallery is really worth a visit. As the numbers visiting in one day is controlled, it was a treat not to feel overwhelmed by people as so often happens elsewhere in Rome. Our guide was delightful, very well informed and clearly interested in her subject. She made our visit enjoyable and very worthwhile. Our visit would not have been so memorable if we had gone on our own. I would recommend this tour very highly.

Tiffany was the absolute best. Friendly, knowledgeable, engaging and eager to answer questions. She exuded a true passion for the arts and wrapped that in great anecdotes about the Borghese family and history which brought the gallery and its contents to life.

The gallery was beautiful. The directions to the Borghese were not helpful. It took us a long time to find where it was located in the park. We did the Gallery without a tour and I thought that was fine. I wouldn't pay for a tour group on this particular event.

I was not taken on a tour of th Borghese Gallery, I was told I hadn't a ticket!

We loved Borghese Gallery but as for Viator you sold us two tickets that we paid for and then said the Guide was sick. More than likely you sold to many tickets. Just about ruined our holiday as we had limited time for this. luckily we went along to Borghese and two tickets become available.

Great to skip the line. The Borghese Gallery is in itself amazing as are the artworks. We just got our entry tickets - but next time around would do a guided tour - I think you get so much more out of it.

This was a delightful tour, led by Rebecca, who was very enthusiastic and well-informed guide.
The museum is quite large, and has more art than can be fully absorbed in the two hours that the museum allots. It seems to me that Rebecca had a choice to either highlight and add depth to selected objects, or give a "drive-by" tour of most or all of the museum.
Rebecca's choice was to highlight a limited portion of the museum, which was the correct choice in our opinion, and of all but one member of the tour. She was very well-informed and enthusiastic, adding history to the works of art, making the tour first-rate. The tour of the garden was also very enjoyable.
The one member of the tour who would have preferred a different approach chose to chastise Rebecca in front of the rest of us, which we all considered inappropriate. Rebecca, however, handled the criticism professionally and gracefully.
We highly recommend this tour of the Borghese Gallery.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous treasures contained within the Borghese Gallery as well as the walk through the gardens....the highlights for me were some wonderful paintings by Caravaggio and the sculptures by Bernini....well worth the visit!

We left the reservation to the last minute and were unable to get tickets via the normal route. Viator to the rescue! They met us in front at the appointed time and in we went. The Borghese Gallery is a must see in Rome.

This was a really memorable tour for so many reasons. The Gallery is wonderful, packed with art treasures but not with people (unlike the Vatican).Bernini and Caravaggio are the big attractions and the works are displayed to show them at their best. We were fortunate in having a tour guide who was informative and entertaining. I am not enthusing about her because she is English. It is more her qualities as an actress/drama teacher that enabled her to bring the art works to life. She was particularly good at describing the Bernini sculptures and the way the works were produced but all of her accounts were informed and knowledgeable. Over the years I have been on many escorted tours round galleries but this one stands out as one of the best- partly because the gallery itself was so attractive but also because the guide was so well-informed and enthusiastic that she enhanced the whole experience. She was even able to recommend good restaurants whilst showing us round the gardens. The Borghese is a 5 star attraction on its own but when you add a 5 star guide you create a truly memorable experience.

Not really impressed by Borghese Gallery. Maybe if we had had a guide we would have enjoyed it more. When tickets purchased we didn't realize these tickets did not include a guided tour as this was our first time using Viator. When we approached the guide on site with our dillemma he was no help.

We were very surprised to learn on arrival that we had paid for nothing more than a guaranteed time slot access to the Borghese Gallery. We thought we were purchasing both access and a guided tour. The fault may be ours for failing to read the details fully.

This tour was amazing. The Borghese Gallery has so many beautiful works of art, and we had a guide that was so enthusiastic about sharing her love of what the gallery had to offer to the public. I would strongly recommend this tour.

The tour of the Borghese Gallery was fantastic. I can't imagine wandering around by oneself. It was fabulous to hear all the "behind the scene" stories. The Garden walking tour was just so-so.....you can walk around yourself. But the gallery is a must.

This was my first experience with a Dark Rome Tour, and Lindy made it a fabulous one! She was amazingly knowledgeable and made the history of the artwork and sculptures fascinating. After the gallery tour, Lindy walked us through the gardens once again talking to us (not lecturing but talking conversationally!) about the trees, buildings, sculptures, etc. found there. Did you know there is a Globe Theatre in the Borghese Gardens? At the conclusion of the tour, Lindy pleasantly walked a group of us to the Metro and made sure we got on the proper trains to go home. Talk about going above and beyond her duties! When I travel to Europe in the future, I will always check to see if Dark Rome Tours has guides there as the company has now expanded beyond the city of Rome.
