Nice being able to break away from the huge crowds and see some of the colosseum with a smaller group in uncrowded locations. Great tour.
An unforgettable experience! We had a fabulous guide and I am so sorry I can't remember her name - she made our tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum 'come alive' with her knowledge and enthusiasm. I can't recommend this tour highly enough. In the afternoon we went on the 'Best of Rome Walking Tour' and it does just what it says - again, our guide was friendly/informative and it was a really 'fun' afternoon. Well Done Viator!
Claudia our tour guide was fantastic. Rome is the most beautiful city in the world and the colosseum is a must see. Truly an epic structure, with an incredible history!
Great walking tour that allowed you to cross of a lot of the must-sees in Rome! Skipped the line in colosseum which was key!
Doing what: Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour
The experience was fantastic! Our guide,Sarah N. Did a fantastic job. She is an archeologist so her insight into the Colosseum and Ancient Rome added a special depth. I highly recommend
was an excellent tour of both the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We would recommend this trip highly.
having done the colosseum before choice this trip for the extras and was not disappointed well worth the extra money very interesting to see
Great tour! Guide was very knowledgeable about the Colosseum and Forum.
I did not realize this tour also included the Roman Forum as well, but glad it did. We enjoyed interacting with our tour guide as we went along. She did a good job informing us about how the Colosseum was built and used.
The experience was fantastic and exceeded my expectation. Our guide really made the whole experience worth while as John communicated exceptionally well and was able to express his passion and knowledge of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. I will highly recommend the experience.

We did several tours by Viator while in Rome. This tour was the best in terms of our guide. She was well informed and was able to explain the history of the Colosseum in great detail. I cannot believe there would of been a better tour guide. Viator will always be my first choice no matter what city I tour. I would give them a 10 out of 10 score!
One of the highlights of our Trip! We had the most informative tour guides. He was part of the Rome Archeological society and was like a walking Encyclopedia , amazing human. As far as the tour: seeing the basement subfloor of the Colosseum at night was very impressive and humbling. If you like Museums go to the Vatican, if you like actually walking into an archeological site where the events actually happened this is the tour for you.
Doing what: Colosseum and Ancient Rome Tour by Night
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and her presentation of the history of the Colosseum and Ancient Rome made the physical evidence come alive.
I met friends in Rome who had been on a cruise. The cruise company did a tour with them of the Colosseum and we compared notes. They were not able to see the basement, which was a fascination for me. I didn't realize how great my Viator tours were until I was able to see how the others compare. I will continue to use Viator on every single vacation. Now I know!! Do not miss this tour!
Quick paced, informative, loved that we took the one that allowed you on the bottom of the Colosseum.
This was a great tour. We were able to get a real sense of what went on during these gladiator fights. Seeing the Colosseum from every floor was awe inspiring. We recommend this tour.
Wow is about the best word to describe this tour. I'm amazed at how the Colosseum was built back in that time. We had one main tour guide and a special guide at the actual Colosseum. They knew their history. Both were awesome. This was truly a remarkable tour. One thing I can say is there are stairs involved and lots of walking. There is an elevator but only for a very small part of the tour. It was rough on a few of the folks in the tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Our Favourite Tour in Rome! A must do folks. The Colosseum morning part is the perfect length of time and you get a nice 3 hour break before the afternoon walking tour portion to grab a bite to eat or a little shopping. The Pantheon is my absolute favourite architectural structure in all of Rome!
We thought this tour was well worth the money. Our excellent guide Barbara covered a lot of ground throughout the Colosseum and Forum. Very informative.
Great way to see Rome, would highly recommend this package. The hop on buses were on time and was a relaxing way to see the city. The visit to St Peters Basillica and the Vatican Museum were great experiences. Loved not having to stand in a long line to get into the Colosseum.
Tour was very nice. I'd have to say to make the most of your time I'd strongly recommend taking this tour. The Colosseum was AWESOME !!
Unbelievable tour and guide. Touring the underground of the Colosseum was the best of the best tour we took on our 22 day trip!
Oct 23, 2015 we toured the Colosseum and is was great. Excellent guides - inside and outside the colosseum, although if you don't know anything except hollywood's version any guide can be excellent, but our guides were very enlightening. This was definitely worth the cost and skip the line is the way to go.
Colosseum, palantine hill, the roman forum and an afternoon walk - queues were basically non-existant especially with queue jump priority. Def recommend this tour, especially the morning. it is a lot of walking so make sure you have comortable shoes.
A very good introduction to the main attractions in Rome for first time visitors like us. We only had 2 precious days in Rome so this was a good way to see almost everything quickly. We had 2 guides, one for the morning part which introduced us to the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill, and one for the afternoon tour which showed us the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. Sadly, the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps were closed for cleaning but we still got to see them, although from a small distance. Our afternoon guide was excellent think her name was Eakatrina - not sure about the spelling. She was lively, bubbly and very knowledgeable and kept all of us interested and alert right up to the end. Highly recommend this for anyone who's visiting for the first time and wants a good overview of the major spots.
