One of the first stops on the night walking tour (which began during daylight hours). On a 3-hour walking tour, you have to start at 6:30PM or so (which is when we started). Otherwise, it would have finished far too late.

Looking up at the dome inside the Pantheon this 'hole' is 43.3m high and 9 metres across. The rain falls onto the floor but there are small holes and an underfloor network of pipes to drain the water away! Good thinking!
