Raphael's Rooms

A must do tour to get through the ridiculously long queues and overwhelming crowds. Our guide, Laura, was warm, informative and really interesting to listen to. Laura continually guided us to the few quiet spots that we could find to explain in more detail the art and history of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St.Peters. I would not attempt to see these places unless you are on a tour. Do not take any baggage that would not pass security (umberellas have to be checked) as the baggage check rooms are a long way from the end of the tour.

We both really enjoyed this tour immensely. The tour guide we had was very informative and had a great sense of humour. We really loved the tour of the Raphael's Rooms and the Sistine Chapel.

This was an absolutely excellent tour with David at its head. He most artfully led us through the immense crowds and we managed to get into the Vatican Museum without having to wait for long periods of time. It took very little time to pass through the security or wait while he obtained all the tickets. Then we were on our way through the Museum, through the Sistine Chapel, through Raphael's rooms and St. Peter's cathedral. To see the magnificent art collection in its original was, to me, absolutely amazing. We wished at times that we could linger longer in some of the areas to admire the collections, but due to the immense crowd of people this was often not possible. However, we managed to see everything. David was an excellent guide and full of information about the historical context of the period. At St. Peter's cathedral we were able to take our time because we were no longer with the tour. The buildings were magnificent. It was once in a lifetime type of tour and we are so glad that we had a chance to see and admire these treasures of art.

Tour guide, David, was excellent. Provided many interesting insights and facts without being boring or stuffy. Highly recommend taking an early tour as it gets very crowded, very quickly. Beautiful sites, well worth seeing Raphael's rooms.

Awesome tour! As an art lover the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's rooms were mind blowingly awesome, and St Peter's was spectacular. Our guide Tiffany was also great and provided a very informative commentary.

Really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but not to 'stiff'. He made it a very pleasant tour. And, of course, the Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and The vatican were FANTASTIC!

Best tour we had in Rome, Fransesca was extremely knowledgable. One thing we liked was the pacing. We weren't rushed through any of the rooms, and she explained a lot f things about the paintings etc but didn't give too much info. It was perfect. Other people we know who toured the Vatican with other companies, found their guides gave way too much information, and also walked right through places like Raphael's rooms. This tour included everything. Like the Colosseum, you are foolish NOT to buy at least a skip the line ticket; the line ups to get in are astoundingly long, even in a low season such as October when we were there.

The tour was wonderful! Our guide was very knowledgeable and made our first trip to the Vatican a enjoyable tour! I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St. Peter's.

David was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and kept it interesting with facts and a few jokes. The Vatican Museums are incredible as well as Raphael's rooms, Sistine Chapel and St Peters. Couldn't photograph in the Sistine Chapel because of filming rights being owned by the Japanese, anyway the tour was fantastic, one of my favourites.

This tour was really informative and i learnt alot about the Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms as well as St. Peter's. Skipping the line was definitely a great thing as it saved alot of precious time! However, the only unfortunate thing was that no guided tour was allowed inside the St. Peter's Basillica. The tour guide had to explain and tell us what were the must-sees outside St. Peter's.

This was a wonderful tour! Our tour guide was humorous, very knowledgeable and very informative. We didn't have to wait in the very long lines that everyone else was in. We learned a lot about the Vatican Museums, Raphael's Rooms and St. Peter's. The Sistine Chapel was AMAZING! My wife and I would strongly recommend this tour!

I absolutely loved my tour. My tour guide (I feel horrible for not being able to remember her name, but she's originally from Ireland) was superb. She had a great mix of historical and fun facts about everywhere we went and everything we saw. I was so thankful for the fact that we did not have to wait in line to get in because we did the tour on Good Friday, meaning that we probably would've waited in line for at least 3 hours.
I also thought it was really nice that we saw the major highlights of the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's because I know that I would have gotten horribly lost and frustrated without some guidance.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, both children and adults (there was a family with three little girls all under the age of 10 who successfully completed the tour).

The Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters Basilica is a MUST when in Rome. Make certain that you don't miss Raphael's rooms. Not all tours incorperate this. I loved Italy and it's historical past, so many tworlds are held in the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and Basilica that stir ones interest. Fantastic but requires more than a day to absorb all it has to offer, we went twice but feel we would love to spend more time to bathe in the beauty of it all, and we are not of the Catholic religion, We have a keen interest in the architecture, art and history of such a great place.. Will be going back again some day.
