Of the four tours we went on in Italy, this was the best. Started a bit slow with very detailed explanations of the background to things like the Raphael rooms and the Sistine chapel. These paid off later. Guide was very knowledgeable and the pace was good. Warning: this is a long tour so make sure you eat something first.

This was an unforgettable tour. Our knowledgeable, enterprising tour guide got us into the Sistine Chapel early before the big crowds, whereupon we got a wonderful cram course, masters degree level talk on the art and history of the Michelangelo's work and the rivalry with Raphael. Lots of insight followed in the museum and Raphael rooms, too. This tour matched the brilliance of the venue and the artwork. The early morning upgrade was well worth the added cost, in my view.

The tour guide was very well versed in the history of the artwork and delivered it in an interesting format. The museums, Raphael's rooms, and St Peter's were amazing. Absolutely worth it. We are very happy with the service and would book with them again in a heartbeat.

We found this tour fabulous. we had a wonderful guide who was extremely knowledgeable and knew her way around the Vatican. She gave the group an option to go and see the Sistine Chapel or see Raphael's rooms; we chose the Chapel with relatively few people around. Her knowledge of all including St Peter's was immeasurable. An early start with a short wait to get through security was well worth it to skip the line, and you do skip the line. Remember Monday in Rome is the only day all museums are closed, with the Vatican being the only exception, so go on any other day if possible. This guide made our trip to Rome worth it.

This tour is a must for anyone wanting to learn something at the Vatican. Our tour guide was very informative and entertaining. He made learning about the museum exciting. We didn't breeze through the rooms and just go to the Sistine Chapel. We learned a lot about the art and sculptures, got to go through the map room and Raphael Room and then the Sistine Chapel. We only had about 20 minutes in there, which it is a little hard to absorb it all in that time, but there is so much to see. It ended with a self-guided tour of the Basilica. But you got to skip the lines and that is so nice when you are traveling. I didn't have to think about navigating once I got to the Vatican. I am so glad we did a tour because I would have only got a fraction of that information by myself. It was well worth the money! Other people I talked to said they didn't like their tour so it is tour guide dependent but all my tours with Viator.com where great!

We had a genuine tour guide. We were lucky to have to reschedule our tour from morning to the afternoon, when there was less traffic in the museums and especially the Sistine Chapel, where you need to just relax and take as much time as you can just to learn about and observe this unique room. We would recommend that for everyone. The selection of the tour spots was great, including the antiquities, tapestries, and maps rooms, Raphael's walls, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's.

This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was friendly and knew her stuff. The Vatican museum was overcrowded and very hot, no air-conditioning. The Raphael rooms and the Sistine Chapel were everything I imagined. The guide was not allowed to enter the basilica, which was disappointing. All in all, it was a good tour. We spent the entire day at Vatican City. An amazing experience.

This was an awesome tour, and we loved every bit of it. We did skip the line, which was indeed quite huge. Our guide was a young lady and she was very knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She gave a very detailed outline about the Vatican Museum and explained the Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms, and St. Peter's Church with a lot of enthusiasm and in-depth information. The ear pieces the tour conductors gave were also very nice, and we actually had a great time doing this.

Another very educational tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and expert in her presentation. The Vatican was awesome, and the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and Raphael's Rooms are well worth the trip. The skip the line price is also well worth the money. The regular line was very, very long!

Definitely worth it!! The afternoon visit was perfect because the museums are not crowded at all. Our guide was funny and well informed. The only suggestion I have, is for the tour to start a bit earlier, as this way we could've visited Raphael's Rooms and had plenty of time in the Sistine Chapel which closes at 530pm.

Fantastic! From meeting our cheery and helpful tour guide to the breath-taking Sistine Chapel and the beautiful St. Peter's. Our guide was friendly and full of information. She really knew all there was to know about Vatican City. She was polite, cheerful, and considerate. The tour itself covered all that was possible in the three hours that we had there. It is impossible to see everything! The Vatican area was very busy and there were a lot of young school children about, but they were all well-behaved despite the crowds in the Raphael rooms and the chapel itself. The tour was the only thing that we booked in advance and it was, without doubt, the best thing we could have done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the tour to anyone.

SUPER tour and guide - tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. However, our tour did not include Raphael's Rooms as indicated on our ticket, which is our only disappointment. Due to all the excitement during the tour we did not realize this until the tour was over, and therefore, was unable to ask the reason for this.

Fantastic guide - an enthusiastic art historian who talked continuously via the radio headset and was a mine of information - gave us 4 hours of his pearls of wisdom when we had only paid for 3. Quite busy in some of the Raphael rooms but the queue jumping worked very well.

Fantastic trip, and our guide David was excelant and very knowledgeable. St. Peters was amazing, Raphael's rooms brilliant but hte sistine chapel although impressive did not give me the wow factor I thought it would. The crowds, the noise did not make for a spiritual experience but nevetheess, it was hugely impressive. The cripts burial area under st. peters is also not ot be missed

We spend a lot of time on the Sistine Chapel / Raphael's Rooms and the guide provided a lot of interesting info. However, we didn't have any guide time around St. Peter. I think it would be good to have some guided description as well since St. Peter has it own story ad history.
