Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
Knowledgeable, friendly and fun guide. Having the Raphael Rooms to ourselves was fantastic.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
Our guide was interesting, indeed passionate about everywhere we look us on our walking tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms. We had been to St Peter's Basilica before but still learned facts new to us. Very sadly we have lost his name but if all your guides are as good I would recommend you unreservedly. My wife and I are not Roman Catholics but we were in awe of all we saw and heard. We rate this tour very good value for money and one of the great highlights of our first long visit to room. Having read the look on the Vatican since we are extremely happy to report that we missed nothing of great note into 3 hours, indeed it would have taken 3 days and the guidebook to have seen as much and learned so many facts. Thank you very mush Viator and a big thank you to Rome, a magnificent city.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
Extremely worthwhile guided tour to introduce us to the vast collections of the Vatican Museums. Our informative and well organised guide Anna shared some of the history of the Museums, the Popes of the time and St Peter's, as well as pointing out interesting details and information on many of the artworks, sculptures, mosaics, tapestries Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel. And yes, we did skip the long, long lines outside the Vatican Museums.

Francesca was a terrific guide! This tour was great - we even got a little sneak peak into the Papal apartment! Fabulous tour, definitely recommend it to skip the lines and get a whole lot of information about the museum including the Raphael rooms.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
We were lucky enough to have art historian and restorer as our guide for this tour, she was really informative and gave us all kinds of details about the works of art.
I highly recommend the 8.10am upgrade, the Sistine Chapel gets very busy. We were lucky enough to have Raphael's rooms almost to ourselves.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
This is my third time on a tour to the museum, and beyond a doubt our guide was horrible. He was not informative at all, skipped over most rooms (I realize we were on a schedule, but he did not take a moment to point out really anything). He made crude jokes, mentioned four time about Raphael having a sexually transmitted disease, and generally was not tactful.
Your company was suggested through AAA, which consistently books with your company. We could not have been on a more disappointing tour, and left the tour half way through to give back the earpieces and go back to the first of the museum to start our own tour again. We received more information from following a random tour for five minutes, then all of Nico.'s tour.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
This was a small tour of 10 individuals. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the Vatican and the early church. There were larger tour groups that seemed to rush through but our guide took her time in allowing us to see as much of the Vatican as allowed. While the Sistine Chapel was amazing, I much preferred Raphael's Rooms where you have the chance to get a close look at the paints of a master. Word of caution, with the number of stair and long hallway, I strongly recommend you wear a good comfortable pair of walking shoe. I highly recommend this tour for individuals wanting to learn more about the Catholic church.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
The Vatican tour was amazing. We had an other group that took a different tour and they didn't get to see the Raphael rooms. Those are well worth it. Our guide took us right up to the front of the line and gave us a quick history lesson and took us around to the highlights. My advice is never go here with out a tour.

Thank heavens we bought a tickest in advance. The queues of people standing in line to buy tickets was something to see to believe. Well worth the trip. Time spent was sufficient. Sistene Chapel, Raphael Rooms and St Peter's Basilica wereall amazing.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
This was a wonderful tour and worth the extra money to go early. Though the lines were getting long, we went right in. Our guide was so passionate about all that we saw and really explained what we were seeing. She took time to take us off to the side and explain things before we entered. She was exceptionally informative about the Sistine Chapel, which she went into great detail before entering. I have to say we appreciated Raphael's rooms more than the Chapel partly because the crowd was smaller. It is really hard to see things in the Chapel as there are so many people. We found the tour start area with no trouble and the ear peices and small group made it that much better. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see as much of this fantastic area as possible and come away with knowledge as well.

guide was good - the Raphael rooms were a big disappointment as there were too many tours and people in the room at the same time - too many guides talking at once

This was our first tour when we arrived in Rome and it was simply fantastic. Tiffany was our tour guide and she was brilliant, very knowledgable, clearly cared a lot about the subject and really brought the tour to life. It's not an expensive tour and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I knew a bit about the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel but nothing about Raphael's Rooms - she went in to a lot of detail and this was my favourite tour when I was in Rome. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Our tour guide, Francesca was fabulous! She is an art history major and her enthusiasm and appreciation for the Vatican museums, the Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms, and St Peter's was amazing. We learned so much history, and she taught us what to look for and see in each part of the tour. There is no way we could have enjoyed the history and art to this extent on our own.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
Just wonderful. Our guide was passionate about history and the wonders of the Vatican. His explanations were as good as they get and he pointed out little-known facts. Some, like the Sylvester Stallone look-alike in a Raphael Rooms' painting were a nice touch. Just a hint: When they say don't sit down in The Sistine Chapel, they mean it. The guards were very stern (and downright rude) with an older couple who made that error in our group. Highly recommend this tour! We felt and believe we had a real scholar leading us.

Incredible, incredible incredible!! Definitely do not miss this tour! St. Peter's and Sistine Chapel defy words. The beauty of it cannot be described. I found Raphael's Rooms to be a bit long winded although the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, little tough to take in so much information all at once. When we walked in, there was a two hour wait in line to get in. Definitely worth the price of the tour just to avoid that. Absolutely worth every penny. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!!!
