Incredible! Covered San Clemente, a must for us as well as the Catacombs and Cappuchin crypts. Knowledgeable guide and very helpful. Another great excursion for our seven year old boy who was getting tired of the usual museums and church tours. Highly recommended!

Doing what: Catacombs and Roman Countryside Half-Day Walking Tour

The tour guide was extremly knowledgable. The sights we saw were beautiful. The tour was quick enough for me to head over and see the Vatican City afterwards. The 3rd century Christian catacombs were tied with the Colosseum as the most impressive thing in Rome. The Appian Way and the Aqueduct park are beautiful and you need to have your camera in your hands to capture everything about them.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Crypts and Roman Catacombs Small Group Walking Tour

Our guides were great. They gave us so much history and info about Rome. The Catacombs are amazing, as are the Capuchin Crypts. They are a must see. The guides made this such a great tour!

A super tour! We had a great group of 3 very knowledgeable and entertaining guides. They split us into 3 small groups and so the tour size was very small and intimate. The catacombs were very interesting and the Cappucian crypts were unbelievable! Also, the nicely air-conditioned tour bus was a pleasant way to transport the group between tour sites. Overall very nicely done indeed!

We had a great guide for the Crypts/Catacombs Walking Tour!

Doing what: Skip the Line: Crypts and Roman Catacombs Small Group Walking Tour

The most surprising, informative and enjoyable tour of all that we took. The guide was exceptional in her information and personality. The catacombs and Capuchin crypts were extraordinary and not what the typical tourist gets to see. The church of San Clemente was spectacular and so memorable.

This is a must do tour. This was one of the best tours we did on a two week vacations. Highly recommended. The guide did an excellent job of entertaining us while riding to the three sites that the tour covers. His stories were very entertaining. The first site is the underground catacombs outside the city walls of Rome. They do not allow you to take any pictures at this location. However, the stories and visit are very interesting. The second stop, was at St Clementine Church. Here you will have the opportunity to visit two different churches and see a 2nd century appartment. it was amazing and you will learn about early christianity and St Clemtine. The history and stories were incredible. Finally, you go to the monk catacombs. This was a very powerful ending to an incredible tour. I suggest asking the guide to tell the story about where Paparazzi and where cappuccino came from. The guide was very knowledgeable and made this tour amazing.

Very interesting! Catacombs were the best! Crypt was a little over the top--too strange! The church was great, but our guide really did not get the information across--glad we had read about it before we went so we knew what we were looking at. We ended up explaining the place to others in the tour.

The crypts and catacombs were great. The tour guide was very informative, and we really enjoyed it. The only thing I'd recommend is to include the requirement for women to have something to cover their shoulders and knees for the Capuchin crypts or have the guide have some extra wraps available during the hot months.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Crypts and Roman Catacombs Small Group Walking Tour

A very good tour with a great guide. Very well organised and a good range of sites. The only thing that was less than ideal was that it was not meant to be more than 20 people. There were two groups with two guides, but the Catacombs group was all of us together.

Doing what: Catacombs and Roman Countryside Half-Day Walking Tour

Amazing sites. Our tour guide and bus driver were very late for pick up after the catacomb tour and made up some lame excuse about "changing the bus", which took 30 minutes. We had to call the office to find out what was going on. Too bad that everyone knew that the bus was exactly the same one and that she lied about her late arrival. Made it difficult to believe what she was saying about the sites after that with her credibility lost, but the catacombs and countryside were wonderful despite the dishonest guide.

There were no lines at any of these events. Need headphones. They didn't go to the Catacombs that was indicated. Also, we weren't sure about the "Walking Tour" piece since we all piled on a bus and drove to all these locations. I now understand why so many people have given this a bad review. I almost didn't book this due to all the bad reviews. However, I'm glad I booked this because we would not have seen these sites without the tour.

Catacombs was a good tour except with 20 people the guide was hard to hear sometimes from those in the back of pack no audio system. Last part of the tour was gruesome and not something most people would like monks bone turned into "art".

Doing what: Catacombs and Roman Countryside Half-Day Walking Tour

Great tour. Good guide, excellent sites. Do not miss going to the catacombs while you are in Rome.

Trip was pretty much as described, although the "small" group" shared a 65 seater coach with another "small group" doing exactly the same tour. A few warnings would help, like no photos permitted almost everywhere on the tour, and girls and women need to be aware that shoulders & legs should be covered as tour includes religious places. Didn't affect us but did some others on the tour. All the bodies have been removed from the catacombs that are included in the tour for "health reasons." Too much emphasis on religious mumbo-jumbo, but I suppose should expect that in Rome, and too regimented for my taste. I just don't like being lectured.
