Doing what: Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour
Our tour guide was very informative but the second half of our tour through the Roman Forum seemed more like a sprint with many of the older people in the group unable to keep up, some even dropped off all together. The heat of August in Rome did not help. Wished they focused on fewer points of interest with less "running" or extended the tour an hour or so, so people could keep up. Overall it was a very good tour and if you wanted to drop out you could and finish the forum on your own at your own pace.

Doing what: Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour
This tour was great, as was our guide, Marie who was French but spoke great English. We saw all of the ancient spots in Rome we could handle in a 3 hour walking tour. The only downside was that the tour was on a Sunday and a mass was being held in the Pantheon. Therefore, we never made it inside the Pantheon which was a HUGE bummer...this schedule should have been planned better. I'm sure there's always masses on Sundays at this spot...the guide should have known that. So after our tours for the day, we ran back to the Pantheon to see the inside, and by the time we got there 6:10PM, the Pantheon had closed at 6:00PM. Our guide should have also told us the closing time to assist us in getting back since we missed seeing it with her. Although we missed the dome and interior of the Pantheon, the Roman Forum tour was wonderful, and we learned a lot...pretty good value for what we paid, but bummed about the Pantheon. Don't take this tour on a Sunday.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Colosseum and Ancient Rome. I almost feel as though a 3-hour tour is a bit long but with so much ground to cover it seems necessary. The Roman Forum section seemed rushed but the Palatine Hill section seemed to drag on. Overall the tour was good however, this company boasts "small tours, less than 25 people" however our tour had over 25 people. Overall I would recommend it, but be prepare for a long, hot tour.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour
Sabrina was spot on with the tour. She kept us interested despite the hot August sun beating down on us. The group was fairly small, under 25 people, and Sabrina was able to keep us moving to check out the notable attractions. The lines at 10AM were incredibly long for the Colosseum, so I was glad we were able to skip it with this tour. To me, that's worth the price alone. If I had to do this tour again, I would skip out on the Ancient Roman Forum segment. With a limited stay in Rome, your time can be better spent seeing something else.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour
Colosseum tour good. Roman Forum seemed disconnected, not easy to put all the information together. The guide was well prepared and knowledgable (probably one of the best we've had). We had a problem when entering Ancient Rome, Viator had not purchesed enough tickets for all our guests, so we had to wait about 15 minutes while our guide resolved.

Doing what: Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour
Keep in mind it's a three hour walking tour not a lot of breaks were given and also consider the weather you'll be walking in. As I am 20 years old I had no problem and I did enjoy myself. Three hours was maybe a bit too long. I could've done 2.5 hours and called it a day. But for my 10 year old brother and 43 year old parents.. if they had the option they probably would have stopped after 1.5. Guided tours are tough though because you aren't working at your own pace but if you want a quick general idea of what Ancient Rome is about then this is for you. If you want to just learn about the Colosseum and Roman Forum go on your own.

Doing what: Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour
Visit was very good and ancient rome is outstanding. Guide was laste and arrived at the meeting point at the departure time. after 20minutes of getting everyone sorted out we set off, but were infromed the colosseume was closing erly and we had to keep up a good pace. went to colloseum last and the tour stopped early. I suggested we go to the colloseum first and then take our time in the roman forum but the guide was having none of it and seemed reliuctant to deviate from his normal route and wanted an early finish. What we saw of ancient rome was exellent.

Doing what: Skip the Line: Ancient Rome and Colosseum Half-Day Walking Tour
This tour is not for you if you know anything about ancient Rome. We wanted facts and historical information on what we were seeing. Instead we got to take part of a drama class as we were all assigned roles as gladiators, virgins, emperors, etc. We didn't go all the way to the Roman Forum to be insulted this way.

Doing what: Ancient Rome Half-Day Walking Tour
Complete waste of our time. We went back to the Colosseum and Roman Forum on our own the next day because we felt we rushed in what is the best part of Rome. I'm so glad we did because we would have missed so much if we had just relied on this tour.
