Well, there was an initial problem with our transfer. Despite my giving not only the name of our hotel but its address, the assigned driver went to the wrong hotel (on the other side of Rome.) After a somewhat panicky telephone call to the limo company, however, they swung into action and we had a replacement car and driver at our hotel in little more than a half hour. After that we had a very pleasant drive right to our ship at Civitavecchia.

Although our driver wasn"t at the airport on time and spoke zero English, he was polite and the journey to the Port of Civatavecchia was quick and easy.

Although more costly than other options for getting from central Rome to the port, this was an outstanding choice. Driver was very prompt and professional. We were able to go on our own timetable and arrived in comfort.

We had an early flight and were nervous about making it to the airport on time. Imagine our happiness when our disembarkation was so smooth and painless that we were finished 40 minutes before we had ordered the car (thanks Norwegian Jade) then our driver showed up 30 minutes early. Perfect timing!

Driver was very profession al. He arrived at Port on time, loaded out suitecases in his new Mercedes van, and was very helpful. The cost for this VIATOR transfer was about one half the cost of what the cruise line wanted to charge us n(they used a bus).

Some difficulty finding driver in the confusion at the port. We overestimated the length of time it would take to disembark the ship. We disembarked 1 hour earlier than planned. The driver was waiting but not in an area where we could find him. It took 45 minutes before we connected. The drive to Rome was enjoyable as the driver pointed out sights along the way. Vehicle was very clean and comfortable.

Excellent way to get from the cruise port to your hotel in Rome! Our driver was very nice, drove safely (a big compliment for Italian drivers!) and found our B and B which would have been very hard to locate off the train! Totally worth it.

Couldn't have been easier. We were met by a smiling, energetic driver who worked like a magician putting the luggage for five women in the limo.
A comfortable and lovely ride to the port with a quick stop to pick up some essentials!

Absolutely amazing. Our tour guide was so educated about this city. We had a little bit of trouble getting the tour going because one of the ships was late getting into port. Once we got started we had a group of 6 and our own private coach. Skip the line entrance to all the major sites is a must. I would recomment this tour to anyone who has only a short stay in Rome.

Viator 's Rome in One day Sightseeing tour proved an outstanding value and the high-light of our recent cruise. The organization was smooth; the initial guide in the van "Nancy"? was a great introduction; BUT Davida was just incredible! His knowledge, patience and friendly support made our day. Granted, we were extremely lucky to be the only couple on the tour this day, but his knowledge on the tour sights/events was great. We never felt rushed - despite a very full, educational and entertaining day. Congratulations David! Congratulations Viator! We would not hesitate to use your services agaun.
