Doing what: Best of Rome Walking Tour: Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain
This tour covered Piazza Popolo, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, and the Pantheon. Our guide Mario was great! We did have an extreme tourist which demanded much of Mario’s time and attention resulting in frustration across some of our other members. Nevertheless, he was friendly and it was a pleasure having him as our tour guide. This tour requires staying on your feet for about 3 hours so be prepared and have comfortable walking shoes. There is a lot of history to be heard and absorbed – Trevi Fountain was definitely my favorite. The only recommendation I would have is that Mario does not stop for tourists to take pictures of each attraction – just ask or let him know that you need some time and he will definitely give it to you.

Doing what: Best of Rome Walking Tour: Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain
So good to do this tour and see all the main tourist parts of Rome, Piazza Navona, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain etc etc and having all the detailed information given to us by our guide. Shame about the weather, we had light rain right through our tour but it was too good to leave it. I forgot the tour guides name but he knew his history as well.

Doing what: Best of Rome Walking Tour: Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain
Amazing tour - this was our last one before leaving the next day and it was the icing on the cake. It took us through some of the sights we saw already Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and some new ones Spanish steps, Piazza Popolo, Jewish quarter and put it all together for us. The guide who was the same as the one we had for the crypts catacombs walking tour is a font of information and a wonderful person.

Doing what: Best of Rome Walking Tour: Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain
This was 3 12 hours of continuous walking with very few breaks. The highlights were to see the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Four Rivers.

Doing what: Best of Rome Walking Tour: Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Trevi Fountain
We only had a very limited time in Rome and wanted to see as much as we possibly could. We booked several tours, all with Viator, and I have to say that all of them were excellent, with extremely professional guides and generally small groups, making it possible to hear the guides and ask any questions that you wanted to. In fact there were only 2 of us on this tour. We did this on our first afternoon, and although we encountered torrential rain and thunderstorms, we found the tour very good. Our guide was extremely informative and very helpful, especially at the end when we were drenched and needed to find a way to our hotel. The tour lasts for over three hours and requires a lot of stamina as you are constantly walking from one highlight to another and the cobbled roads are extremely hard on the feet. Wear good walking shoes and come prepared for any weather!!! The tour was a great way to see all of the usual highlights and to hear the history of Rome - including the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and a whole load more. We were taken into a number of churches which I know we would not have visited if we had wandered round Rome on our own, and the guide pointed out numerous interesting features which we would have walked straight past, including the ancient picture of Jesus which opens and closes its eyes - it has to be seen to be believed!!!! The stop for hot chocolate along the way was very welcome.
