Our tour guide was very professional and informative. Her presentation was easy to follow and understand. We would recommend visiting Tivoli and using your tours.

Doing what: Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este Half-Day Trip from Rome

The day was the coldest day ever, and we were running between showers. Nevertheless, nice places and I would like to go back to Tivoli some other time of year.

I found the recptionest at the Tour Operator quite rude and left us standing around while she waited on others and finially I asked when could we check in and she told me I was, I should go to the bus, I asked where and she said three men outside would tell me. We found our bus and it was lined up... Our guide was a lady that was always saying "hurry up, hurry up, I have a schedule to keep". She had three people with canes and one fellow in a wheelchair and she just kept marching along. The only one she gave any information to was those that could keep up to her!! A few times we were all standing around and asking "where did she go?" She disappeared at Tivoli Fountain and we all wandered back on our own, hoping we had the correct way back! I was not impressed, nor were a lot of others.. It was beautiful to see. Maybe let people know how much walking there is and maybe suggest a little more time alloted or make it just one or the other. In Hadrian's Villa we were hurried through and could not even look around... Would not do that one again with that tour group...

We had a lovely time visiting Tivoli Gardens. It was gorgeous and I would recommend it for future travelers staying in Rome. The rest of the sites were okay but nothing spectacular given I have been in several other areas of Italy.

Doing what: Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este Half-Day Trip from Rome

This was a good trip to Tivoli to see the Villa Adriana and the Villa d'Este. I wish there had been more time in Villa Adriana, I know there would have been much more to see. Villa d'Este was magnificent with the garden full of most gorgeous fountains. After seeing those fountains, the Trevi fountain doesn't impress that much anymore :)

This tour was the most enjoyable our of the three we have booked with Viator. It would have been nice if it was longer, so we could have more time at both Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa to explore, especially Hadrian's Villa. It seemed like we were only there for 30 minutes and barely got to see any of the villa at all. We also felt very rushed moving through the gardens at Villa d'Este to see all of the fountains. We didn't even have time to see the inside of the villa! The guide was great, though.

Well organized, but half day is to tight for it. In Villa d'Este I disconnected from the group. The guide was very nice to explain how to go back to Rome with the bus, so I could enjoy more time at Villa d'Este and beautiful Tivoli.

This half day tour could easily have been a full day tour - so much to see and appreciate. We enjoyed seeing both the Villa d'Este in Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa. A good tour to do.

Doing what: Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este Half-Day Trip from Rome

It's a great trip, but it really isn't possible to see both Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa in the 4 hour time frame. We elected to stay at Tivoli and not go to Hadrian's Villa where we only would have had about 40 minutes. If we had left Tivoli to go to Hadrian's Villa we would not have had time to fully see the garden and fountains at Tivoli. I would have given this trip 5 stars if the trip was one hour longer so that both places could have been see satisfactorily.

This tour is an excellent way to escape the heat and crowds of Rome during the peak tourist season. Tivoli Gardens are spectacular. We chose not to take the optional visit to Hadrain's Villa as this involved considerable extra climbing, but the time spent at Vila d'este and its gardens was well worth the money paid. The only negative aspect was the tour guide, who because of his Spanish background tended to ignore his English speaking group members in favour of chatting informally at length with the Spanish tour members. An otherwise excellent tour.

Great. It was so easy to get out to Tivoli and see two beautiful sites: Villa d'Este (first) and then Hadrian's Villa. Just note that you'll be walking a lot on this tour!

If you are interested in the ancient history of Rome and Italy, then this tour is a must. I had been waiting 45 years to revisit Tivoli Gardens, They were even more spectacular than I remember them and a marvellous Engineering Feat. Hadrian's Villa puts it in perspective with the rest of Rome's ruins. DO NOT be put off by the guide saying it is a long walk. It is a very easy stroll up the slight hill! I cannot believe so many negative reviews I read about this tour. It was great - only wish it had been longer.

Guide spoke clearly and we had the right amount of time at Hadrian's Villa and in the Tivoli Gardens. Would recommend tour to my friends.

Our trip was great. The Tivoli Gardens were magnificent .Wished that we had more time. Full day trip would be better.

Missed a couple of spots at Hadrian's Villa I would have like to see, but otherwise OK. Tivoli was so so since the flowers hadn't bloomed yet.
