Not sure how I caught this looking so empty. It was very near closing time, but minutes earlier there had been plenty of people about. Sculptures and frescos are everywhere, and overwhelming. The church is gargantuan in scale and it is difficult to imagine worshipers achieving a personal sense of communion with their god.
