This was definitely one of the highlights of my holiday. I enjoyed the Vatican more that Rome itself. The breakfast was excellent and watching the sunrise shining into the courtyard and onto the Vatican was magical.
Our guide Sev was fantastic!!! his knowledge and passion about the Vatican City was evident. Highly recommended, and well done Sev!!!
Laura was a GREAT tour guide. Super knowledgeable about the Vatican - and adorable.
Skip the Line tour is the only way to go in the very crowded Vatican. Still overwhelming due to amount of items to see and the large crowds of people in the museums and Vatican even in a small group tour.
First time in vatican city and one thing i like most is beating the long line from tourists all over the world .
Our guide was very knowledgable and she made it very seamless to pass through the crowds. I am glad we chose this because the line to get in was about a mile long. We walked right into the Vatican and I would recommend doing this to anyone planning to go here. The Sistine Chapel was absolutely amazing!
The cost included the entry fee into the Vatican museum and a 3 hour guided tour from Patricia who was a historian and archaeologist. The tour was in-depth and fascinating and at a pace that enabled everyone to have the time to look properly not only at the treasures Patricia pointed out and explained, but also the rest of the artwork. Without a guide, I would have missed so much. I particularly appreciated that she explained and asked for respect to be paid to sacred ground, a fact that some other guides unfortunately could not get through to their groups and in one case was totally rudely and disrespectfully ignored not by this company. I highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour! The guide was very informative about the Vatican and the history as well as the art inside. I highly recommend the afternoon tour...so much better and less crowded!
Really loved this tour! Our tour guide's name was Claudia and she was very nice and friendly throughout the tour, always smiling and very patient. The tour was very informative too, you really learn about the rich history in Vatican and the museums.
It is definitely worth it to take the tour. Not only did we get to skip the entrance lines, but we were able to learn about the notable artworks and historical backgrounds of the Vatican museums. It is overwhelming to see everything so it helps to have someone point out the special and unique works. Our guide was very cheerful and gave great insight.
Great tour. Easy access to the Vatican. Knowledgeable guide. A really great experience.
We bought this ticket for a Wednesday morning when the Pope was giving his Papal message. If seeing the pope is your thing, DO NOT BUY this for wednesday morning, get tickets for seats for his mass/audience.
If you don't mind missing the pope, going to the Vatican museum during the Papal audience is an excellent idea as it is not crowded. You don't feel rushed or elbow to elbow with the other tourists as you all make your way to the Sistine Chapel. We arrived at the Sistine Chapel around 12 and our guide told us to go back to the cafeteria, have a coffee, and wait until they open the access from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter's Basilica. Though the vatican attendants did not like us walking back towards the Sistine Chapel entrance, we just said we needed to use the toilet and they let us go. Around 12:30 they opened the door and we were able to go right into the basilica without having to go through security again. Also, the basilica doors just opened as well and there were very few people in the basilica.
Overall, it was a great tour! We didn't get a tour of the Basilica due to the Papal Mass, but I think we received a more in depth Vatican Museum tour and so it worked out.
This was beautiful! Our tour guide was very educated on everything in the Vatican and Italian history. We enjoyed our tour and would definitely do it again when we go back with our kids.
Had an early start for this trip but well worth it. Great breakfast with eggs, pancakes and even Holy Milk. Great to get into the Vatican before the crowds. Excellent guide.
United States of America
Great tour and tour guide. The Vatican Museum is so large though that you should consider going back for a second look after the tour because you pass a lot of amazing treasures along the way. Plan on spending the whole day if yo can.
The Vatican is overwhelming Tour guide was terific!
Franchesca was our tour guide and there were less than 20 people in our group. Franchesca is quirky and smart, very knowledgeable with arts and history! I love that we skipped the line to get into the Vatican Museums and the tour was very organized despite the traffic inside the museums. I highly recommend this tour!
The only way to get to see the treasures of the Vatican. Even this tour was still crowded!
Being in the Sistine Chapel alone was well worth the price we paid. We went into rooms in the Vatican off limits to the public and got to see all of the highlighted items and places without spendin the entire day trying to discover what to do ad where to go
Our tour guide, Seraphina, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, no one in our group of less then 20 people was able to stump her with a question we asked - and we asked a lot of questions. She really took her time explaining everything and we learned a lot. This tour was one of our favorite activities in Rome. Can recommend to everybody.
btw Before we arrived we were not sure if we would be able to find the right location to find our guides, but everywhere around the Vatican are very helpful people directing you to where ever you need to go.
The tour was very informative and a wonderful way to see the vatican!
Very Happy with tour .Went with my son.Vatican quite congested but one of the must see places when in Rome.Highly recommended
Our guide Fabrigio was fantastic. So passionate and took us with him on the journey. We would certainly use him again. The Vatican Museums are very crowded. You do need to be aware of that - skipping the line is certainly the way to go. But once you get in the crowds can be overwhelming. Fabrigio found quiet courtyards and gave us little insights so that we could still enjoy the art in the crowded corridor. Linda
Doing what: Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Tickets
Our tour guide know the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel and St. Peter Bascillica inside out. It was a great trip for both of us.
Awesome, our guide was fantastic can't remember her name, how rude of me!!! It was my second tour of the Vatican City and it was better than the first. Beating the crowds with the early morning start made all the difference and as it was a small group it was a more personal experience, loved it and more than happy to recommend to others!
