Doing what: 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
This is the first thing we did in Italy and by far it was the best. The organization, the hotel, the guides, and even the weather was excellent. We were worried about going at the end of the tourist season but we believe that our timing couldn't have been better. The hotel was excellent, the guides were knowledgeable, and this is one part of Italy we will definitely return to one day. The tour people made us feel welcome and that we were a top priority.

Doing what: 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
Great tour! Guides were well informed and friendly. Loved the hotel in Sorrento, gorgeous location and lovely rooms. The day trip to Capri and the afternoon in Pompeii were the highlights.
This tour was well worth it!!!!
The only negative was Naples and having to wait an hour in Naples on the return trip for other groups to join us, could lift Naples out and it would have been better.
The return shuttle in Rome left us off two blocks from our hotel instead of at our hotel, which wasn't awesome since we had luggage and it was late at night.
But overall we were happy with the tour.

Doing what: 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
We loved this tour! Our guide in Pompeii was great! Although our guide had done this tour numerous times, he was very entertaining and informative. We loved our days in Sorrento. The hotel was beautiful and the meals provided (Breakfast and Dinner) were fantastic! On the day we went to Capri, the Blue Grotto was open, however, the seas were very rough. As a result, we were forced to bob around (in our boat) in the water for 2 hours, which made most of the people in our boat extremely ill! The island of Capri is very beautiful and well worth visiting. Highly recommend the 3-Day trip if you can spare the time. The coastline of Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi is amazingly beautiful!

Doing what: 2-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
We had a fantastic time on this trip. Our hosts and guides were excellent, handling the logistics smoothly and professionally. The hotel in Sorrento was lovely and dinner was sublime. I only wish I had booked the 3-day and spent a second night in Sorrento. Thanks Viator and hats off to Carrani Tours for a job well done.

Doing what: 5-Day Best of Italy Trip
My wife and I booked the Standard tour (hotel in Mestre instead of Venice) and it was well worth every penny we paid for. Mario, our tour guide, was corny at times (JK!) but overall very knowledgeable and fun, while Sabatino, our driver, was very good also. The Standard (cheaper) deal put us at a Hotel in Mestre so we had to commute to Venice on our own for the evening we were there. But it wasn't a problem at all because the bus stop to go to Venice is right in front of the hotel (Hotel Delfino). It only cost under 2 euros for the ride and took less than 10 minutes to get to Venice. It's worth not paying the extra $300 to get the hotel in Venice.
Don't be concerned that this trip does not include Pisa. I was bummed at first that it wasn't included but it turned out that it is an optional tour that they offer for 40 euros per person. Even at that price, it is still worth paying for. My only complaint was that during the trip to Pisa, much of the time was spent with the Pisa tour guide of the Baptistry and the Cathedral and we were only given about 30-40 mins free time to roam on our own and take pictures. That seems a lot of time but trust me, it isn't.
Anyway, if you're going on a trip to Italy for the first time, I highly recommend this tour. Not only do you get to see a lot of Italy, but it also takes away much of the planning headache in that you don't have to worry about booking hotels and worrying about transportation for a full five days!

Doing what: 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
What an incredible tour. Pompeii is still glorious so I can only imagine what it was like in its heyday. If you are into ruins and history you must take this tour. Sorrento is an absolutely amazing town, chocked full of charm and picturesque views from the coast. The hotel booked for the tour, Ambasciatori, has an old fashioned grandness that takes you back in time. It has a huge terrace that goes along the coast that is incredible for watching the sunset. The tour to Capri and the Blue Grotto was beautiful and simply unforgettable. I took a trip to Positano on my last day and got a taste of the breath taking cliffs and amazing views of the Amalfi Coast. This tour was the highlight of my trip.

Doing what: 2-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
Wow! Where to begin! If I could give 10 + stars, I would! This tour was so brilliantly orchestrated from start to finish. You felt like you saw ten cities in 2 days! Absolutely a must do experience and a fantastic way to see Amalfi and the beautiful towns of Sorrento and Capri. Food fantastic, places, sites and guides absolutely fantastic! The blonde lady who took us from Sorrento to Capri was absolutely fantastic! She was a lot of fun and very informative. You are crazy if you don't do this tour!

Doing what: 2-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
This was a wonderful trip. The tour company was great and very well organized. The hotel in Sorrento was cute. The room was a bit small, but it was clean and I had a view of the coast. The dinner at the hotel was amazing. It was just the right amount of time, although I would suggest adding a day for the Amalfi Coast if you have time.

Doing what: 2-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
Fantasic 2 day trip. Wished we had booked 3 so we could have squeezed in going down to Amalfi. Sorrento and Capri are simply beautiful - photo opportunities galore! The trip to the Blue Grotto on Capri was amazing. The hotel in Sorrento was beyond our expectations and the restaurant was excellent. Pompeii is very interesting and this tour provided enough time there (about 3 hours). Wouldn't bother with Naples (it's not very attractive) but you only spend about 2 hours there so not to painful, I think they only stop there so you can stretch your legs while on the journey down to Pompeii. Lunch on Day 1 was okay but not great. However overall Sorrento and Carpri were one of the highlights of our 5 week trip.

Doing what: 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
At first, i want to join a 2-day tour, but I am glad that I finally chose to go 3 days which make the trip more relaxing and enjoyable. Although the last day is free-time, we were suggested to hire a car for 5-hours to tour around Positani and Amarfi. The 5-hour dirve package offered by the same agent is professionally handled with the driver also acting as a tour guide. All tour guides for Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri are so professional and the arrangements are just good and well done. Viator, you have found the right partners at these places. Keep it up.

Doing what: 5-Day Best of Italy Trip
We had a wonderful 5 days. Our guide was organized and caring. He went the extra mile for the seniors on our tour. They were given options and safe places to wait for the more active travelers. We never felt controlled but our guide was never far away. We wanted to venture out on our own for an afternoon and our guide gave us perfect train times and fees. Being in Italy for the first time, it was nice to have friendly guides to introduce you to what's there. No one wants to spend so much time on a bus, but watching those drivers maneuver the streets and getting from place to place in comfort was worth the time spent in route. Thanks Viator.

Doing what: 3-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
This trip was set up through Viator and with a little trepidation but I was worried for no reason. From the time the bus picked us up in the hotel, we had a wonderful time and the tour was even better than I had hoped it would be. We stayed in a beautiful hotel in Sorrento and the service, rooms, and food were all above reproach. Our side trip to Capri was beautiful, our guide was great and all in all this 3 day trip was worth every penny.

My only regret is that I did not book the 3 day tour. The tour of Pompeii was fantastic, as was the time spent on Capri.

Doing what: 2-Day Italy Trip: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri
Pompeii was unbelievable! Fabio was our guide from Rome to Naples. Gorgeous! was so organised and efficient and our overnight stay in Sorrento was at a beautiful hotel. Next day the water was too rough to visit the Blue Grotto so our guide organised a boat trip around the whole island of Capri in lieu. We returned to Rome late at night and we were dropped off at our hotel. Highly recommend this tour. Great value for money.
