A visit to Moscow is not about relaxation, but about squeezing in as much as you can – whether it is shopping on Old Arbat Street, exploring world class museums, sampling fine dining or enjoying a vibrant nightlife that stretches well into the morning hours.
Every month, Moscow’s calendar is packed with a variety of concerts, theater performances and sporting events.
Moscow also serves as a great base from which to explore the Golden Ring towns of Vladimir, Suzdal, Sergiev Posad and Yaroslavl or kick off a trip on the Trans Siberian Railway.

Doing what: Moscow Metro Tour
Excellent tour guide
Review by Janet L, March 2013
Doing what:
The metro was stunning - we'd read about it but hadn't been underground in Moscow. Our guide was knowledgeable, and gave us historical information about the areas above ground as well. One complaint only - Viator subcontracted with Capital Tours, and their prices were $12-16 equiv. less (depending on whether cash or credit). Our tour was on a Sat. and met at Capital Tour's office, which was closed. We were the only ones on the tour (nice!) but as our guide was a few minutes late we began to wonder if we were at the right place, etc, and no one answered the contact phone because it was the weekend and the office was closed. Past that, we highly recommend the tour - the Moscow metro should not be missed. Not all stations are seen, but you definitely get a sense of what is underground and even how to use the system if you haven't done it before (nothing is in English, so it can be intimidating).
