The tour of Salzburg was informative and the driver took the time to answer questions and orient us to the town. We all got out of the van and walked around the trick fountains and the mansion made famous in "The Sound of Music". We toured in the first days of spring, when tourism was light. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.
Good tour. This tour covers some of the same spots as Sound of Music. I wish our guide would have slowed down a little more so we could take better photos.
The mountains and lakes are breathtaking!! Definitely worth visiting and much nicer than those in Switzerland. The commentary was over-the-top with bad jokes (bring headphones to tune it out). The stop at the tea shop for cake was a nice surprise.
in my opinion, there was no more new things to see as we took this excursion on the last day, when we were already familiar with the city. this tour is ideal on the first day.
The tour was quite nice but very brief, however the 24 Hour Salzburg Card is brilliant. The Card is great value and with a little planning you can get most of the major sites well visited within the Card's time limit. The Card's clock does not start until you scan in at the first location visited.
The city is beautiful and the lake district is amazing , but would have like more stops on the tour to walk around rather than spending most of the time in the bus
Very nice afternoon. 1 hour in the city. About 4 hours visiting lakes and hills. Included 45 minutes boat ride.
Forget the city tour.. just do the mountains and lakes.. City can just take a map and walk around yourself, city is smaller than you expect.. Better than just a quick drive within 1 hour to get a quick glimpse only.. also especially when some of the main attractions are on pedastrians only walkways so the car cannot take you there..
Boat cruise was lovely..
This is one of the most picturesque areas I have seen in Salzburg. The boat ride on Lake Wolfgang is well worth it and the unique town of St. Gilgen is absolutely beautiful. The 70km bus ride through the countryside was magical.
The complete tour was broken into city tour and lakes and mountaines tour. City tour was not that good as the bus/wagon used is a normal one and not those typically used for tourists (large windows). It's a challenge to see anything. The lakes and mountains part is the good one, specially the boat ride with a pitstop at St. Wolfgang.
