Salzburg is immensely proud of its most famous son, and Mozartplatz is just one of the city’s many tributes. The square, with its elegant statue of a youthful Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, dates back to 1842 and was partly funded by Mad King Ludwig ...

The city tour was short and not that interesting. That may have been partly the local tour company, the rain, and the fact this city is not that interesting if you are not a rabid fan of "The Sound of Music". The Austrian lakes tour part was a bit better and the local guide, Natasha, was quite colorful and nice. Unfortunately, that did not save this package from 2 stars.

This tour showed us a good overview of the city. While others have said the same thing, it is time for your company to act: referring to Mozart in the title is misleading and unnecessary. The tour of the Mozart Museum at the end is pretty lame as well. We really learned very little from the museum other than there are lots of paintings said to be of him that are not Mozart. In addition, the tour is short and easily could be 30 minutes longer with a few short stops added. Since it is in a small van it is difficult to see out and see taller buildings. Taking photos is impossible.

We upgraded this tour whist in Salzburg as we had covered city highlights in the Sound of Music tour.
We did the salt mines, eagles nest and a lake region where the name escapes me at the moment. This is an experience not to miss, again another amazing day in Salzburg!

This is definitely a must do not only for the guided tour carried out by natasha who was very knowledgeable. The 24 hour salzburg card is amazing value as it covers the majority of museums plus unlimited travel.

I paid for a tour of salzburg on the traces of Mozart and the guide gave us only a tour of the gazebo and lake for the sound of music. When he took us back to the panorama tour office he handed us tickets to the mozart museum and told us to take a taxi to the musem the next day. We never got to go, still have the tickets. This tour was horrible. I think the guide just made stuff up as he drove around crazy. Not trustworthy, Shaddy and bad tour.
Don't spend your $$$ on this..

The guide was very poor. Hardly could hear what he was telling. Basically did the driver job.

The panoramic Salzburg tour and the Austrian Lakes and Mountains sighseeing tour were both fabulous. Could not see Eagles Nest because the road was narrow and dangerous to travel in the snow. Snow everywhere in December during my winter break as a teacher. I believe that a free beverage and slice of cake of your choice was included in this tour. The bus was huge and comfortable. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Teller machines were available when visiting one of the little towns. Great afternoon five hour trip.

Yes I think it could have better, but I think this is due to the tour guide we had. We felt extremely rushed and felt more like a trapped audience for her jokes, than tourists on tour. At the end we felt as though we had been dumped because she was taking another tour. It was shorter than advertised

A good "get your bearings" introduction to Salzburg but the Palace visit is only 20 minutes, so not really long enough to actually see inside the palace
