Vienna is not the only city in Austria that has a flourishing café culture. In many ways, the cafes in Salzburg are more diverse. Peruse the following if you’re interested in beginning your education in the world of coffee, beer, wine and conversation that Salzburg has to offer visitors to the city.

Directly across from the statue of Mozart at Mozart Square, Cafe Demel is a great place to sample a cup of Kleiner Brauner in the center of the city. Beware, however, these factors combine to the effect that it is one of the most popular cafes in Salzburg. It can be difficult to find a quiet corner. If you’re looking for a place to study or engage in intimate conversation, you may want to look elsewhere.
