Salzburg is ideally set up for cyclists, with safe cycle lanes avoiding snarled traffic and forming a network of path covering 106 miles (170 km); best for visitors orienteering themselves to the city is the scenic track along the Salzach River. Tourist offices in the city have information on bike hire.
2. Trolley Bus
Salzburg has a network of eco-friendly electric trolley buses run by Obus SLB, which circuit the pedestrian-only Aldstadt. With over 100 miles (160 km) of tracks covering 12 routes, the trolley system runs daily until around 11pm, roughly every 10 minutes.
