The guide was excellent, very enthusiastic, and the tour was very much what we were expecting. My only negative comment would be that we were not allowed much time in any one locale, except Mondsee, which wuold not have been my first choice.

Our excellent guide Natasha MADE this tour - she was funny, very knowledgeable and informative. Easy to book online from the UK for myself, husband and two children (10 and 7). We all enjoyed it, even my reluctant husband was singing along during the 4 hour tour! Easy to find start point across the road from Mirabel Gdns (not partof tour so needs to be done independently) We managed to get front seats on the coach (good for the children) and there was the opportunity to get off coach at 4 locations (3 film related locations but not actually go inside). Quite a long drive to/from Mondsee but enough time for leisurely look around church and to have coffee and strudel. Also good way to see Salzburg and environs if, like us, you are only there for an afternoon.

While visiting my daughter who is studying for a semester at the University of Salzburg, we took the Sound of Music Tour. I thought it was a very well done tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and full of fun facts about the movie and how it was filmed. I'm looking forward to viewing the film again now that I know some of the inside scoop of how and why certain scenes were filmed the way they were. I recommend this tour. It takes you to places you most likely wouldn't go to on your own and the scenery is breathtaking!

Fantastic tour - would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of The Sound of Music, or if you just want to see some beautiful Austrian sights and learn some local info. Peter the tour guide was superb - full of knowledge about the film, the locations and Salzburg in general. He even recommend places to eat and sights to see within the city.

Great tour and Peter was a great guide. He's been doing the tour since 1996 and he knows everything there is to know. We seemed to be on a quiet bus and there was no singing which was a bit of a disappointment.
It was snowing heavily the day we went which didn't cause any problems except for one view down the lakes and it was quiet magical.
There are some places the tour doesn't go like the Abbey but you can easily walk up there and see it for yourself.
Ask lots of questions if you have them because there is so much to learn about the real family as well as the film and they can't possible tell you everything without being prompted.
Absolutely a highlight of our trip - we loved it

Very enjoyable tour, not just for the movie sights but also to see some of the sights of Salzburg and surrounding areas. Naomi was great to have as a guide with flawless English, very enthusiastic, and with great stories to tell. Make sure you try the apple strudel!

This lasted a long time, which made it worth doing as we were staying right in Salzburg for the week and it gave us a chance to see the lakes and mountains side of Austria. The guide was very good but she was up against it because the weather was dull and a bit wet and the group was only small so we were only in a small van. Some of the sights we saw were only from a distance too while we were driving past in the van. Still glad we did it. A bigger group and better weather would improve the review maybe

This tour doubled up in many ways with the Lakes and Mountains tour which we also did - but if you do one or the other its pretty good.

The tour itself is wonderful. We enjoyed seeing interesting Sound of Music sights, as well as learning fun tidbits about the movie and the city. Our tour guide was EXCEPTIONAL. Highly professional, kind, lively, and entertaining. I was taken aback at how spectacular the guide was!

Peter was our tour guide ... fantastic! We had a small group, and Peter was interesting and entertaining, and very informative. We visited all the sights (what was possible in winter, anyway), sung along to the songs in the car and took heaps of photos. Would definitely recommend this!

It was the most terrific tour I've done. If you love the movie and want to see some of the most beautiful areas and sites in and around Salzburg it is a wonderful option. Our tour guide Jenny was terrific - very knowledgable, entertaining and clearly a Sound of Music fan!
