Tour guide was Mike and he was excellent throughout the day, keeping all participants engaged with his lively banter. Our first tour of this kind and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were given ample time at each stopping location to walk around and take pictures. Certainly worth it and would highly recommend. We plan to try the aquatic one next that also goes into the water.

We start our trip with stopping for coffee for one lady. This lady after the cup fell asleep so for her may be good experience. So after we spend long time for this lady beeing served our guide started to be nervous and tried to make fast trip to compensate delay. He did some "funny" comments on us (we wanted to take some pictures of lanscape - what a crazy idea on trip). Trip was super speed, we didn't enjoy it. In the end the guy left us in village for lunch and after coming back he told us that the second part of the trip is cancelled. I can't imagine worse way how to get know SD.
Waste of money didn't take us to all sites listed not recommended
The tour was great. We got a good overview of the city and really enjoyed the boat tour and the time we were allowed to look around at the Del Coronado hotel. The chance to see the seals was also a big highlight of the tour.
Tour guide was fantastic. We had a fabulous tour and learnt so much about San Diego and Mexico. Would definitely recommend this tour to our friends and when we are back in San Diego will definitely use Viator tours again.
Very prompt and on time with a very good narrative. Enjoyable trip with exception of a horrendous wait at the Mex US border, not your fault and no picture opps at Old town or Gas Town but well worth taking
After booking, I had read some concerning reviews about this tour and so became a little nervous. But there was no reason, the tour was fantastic, and our tour guide (Mike) was the most friendly and engaging AND knowledgeable we could have wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, and everything ran as smoothly as clock-work. I am really glad we took the tour, and would point out that we brought along with us my parents-in-law who are both in their eighties, and they had such a lot of fun. Yes, I really do recommend this tour, and no, I haven't been paid to say that :-)
Sightseeing tour was good. Next time, I will try one of those hop-on hop-off ones instead.
The Harbor Tour was spent on a boat with overwhelmingly Chinese tourists. A German tourist was quite put out by their poor manners, and an Australian couple voiced a similar sentiment. My husband says they pretty much tried to push him off the boat when disembarking. If you are not looking for a Chinese commuter train experience, be selective about which boat you get on for your harbor cruise.
The cruise itself is beautiful. The city is beautiful when viewed from the harbor.
Tour was great! The view is amazing and we came back to Mt. Soledad in the evening to watch the sunset. If you are thinking about a bike tour, this is the one to take! For most of the way, you just have to work the brakes. There were a few small inclines. The tour guide told us to downshift for those, but I was doing much better just staying in gear and applying a little muscle.
Bike helmets were provided but no guidance on how to properly fit one so it would actually protect you if needed. The tour description mentions "custom fitted Bianchi hybrid bike". The "custom fit" consisted of us being handed a bike and then were were told to drive it down the street to see if it fit. Hmmm!

This tour was a total waste of time. It was so unorganized. The driver/guide was crass and uninformed about most of the sites we saw. He also had a very cheap sense of humor and did not make people feel welcome or at ease on this tour. I got my tour short early and skipped out on the Tijuana trip because I had such a bad impression of this tour from the Lajolla and Corada excursions. I would not recommed this tour to anyone. They are sites that are accessible via Rent a Car or City buses and Trolleys. For the price i paid for this tour, it was better for me to map things out myself and plan these excursions via public transport.
Very good tour but we were unable to do the additional harbour tour due to road works which was disappointing. Enjoyed the few hours in Mexico.
I enjoyed my La Jolla Plunge bike tour. My tour guide was great and informative about the San Diego area. The views from Mt. Soledad were great. The surrounding neigborhood of La Jolla, Mission Beach, and the plunge was exilerating. I highly recommend this tour for every bicycle fan visiting San Diego.
Thanks-- Kenny from Baltimore
