Doing what: Jail and Sail: Half-Day Tour of San Francisco Bay

This was the perfect day trip for us, being that we live 2 hrs away. The Alcatraz tour was so interesting and enlightening and the boat ride Was amazing! Getting to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge was the perfect ending to a great day!!!

Doing what: San Francisco Bay Sunset Catamaran Cruise

It's a great way to see the city skyline. This was truly a unique experience. Once we got away from the pier under sail it became very clear why the call of the ocean finds such willing listeners. We sailed around Alcatraz island and out under the Golden Gate Bridge. There was a spectacular view of San Francisco on the return leg of the trip.

The Alcatraz tour was great. The evening cruise was ok - a bit dull after a while as the weather wasnt great but was good sailing under Golden Gate Bridge.

Doing what: Jail and Sail: Half-Day Tour of San Francisco Bay

Alcatraz, what a place. We enjoyed the audio tour very much,it really made the visit real. The sunset cruise was different,as there was heavy cloud cover and rain. We did enjoy the cruise though, seeing the Golden Gate Bridge from the water, and the Bay Bridge lit up was awesome. The buffet was superb, anyone taking this tour don't eat before going on board

Doing what: San Francisco Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Amazing! Our driver, Willie, had us laughing the entire time! He would not only point out the usual stuff like the Golden Gate Bridge but he would point out the obscure things like the only DMV in SF. The tour busses were easy to find as they were the only blue ones "blue is for you, red is dead!".

Doing what: San Francisco Vista Grande Helicopter Tour

Amazing!! Definately one of the highlights of our holiday, got to the see the city in a great way and as it was a clear day they flew us under and over the golden gate bridge which made it even more amazing!! A must do for anyone in San Francisco!

We spent the entire day down on the waterfront and visited Alcatraz as well. We had a few drinks for happy hour and then boarded the boat. The crew was very friendly and answered everyones questions prior to boarding. The boat takes you around Alcatraz, and the resident musician also gives you history of the Island as well as some pertinent facts about other landmarks as well. The food was very good and you can eat your fill as well. The trip was capped off by an amazing sunset as we went under the Golden gate bridge. I was rather chilly on the boat, but, I am acclimated to Hawaii, so, I don't see that as a negative. We had a wonderful time, great crew, nice entertainment, we would certainly recommend as well as take this trip again.

Doing what: San Francisco Dinner Dance Cruise

Wonderful, breathtaking views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge by night; Three different decks featuring musicians playing jazz, top 40s, and Latin music; Delicious four-course meal topped off with generous servings of champagne and wine. This is a fantastic idea for an anniversary or a birthday dinner. One tip for the ladies: Don't forget your shawl or coat! It gets windy out there on the deck!

Doing what: Alcatraz and San Francisco City Tour

This was a great tour- especially if you have limited time in San Fran.

You get to drive through all the neighbourhoods. The Golden Gate Bridge was a highlight, as was the view from Twin Peaks.

So glad the Alcatraz tour was included because it was fully sold out on the day. The Alcatraz tour is truly amazing!

Highly recommended!

Doing what: San Francisco Bay Sunset Cruise

It was good.. great food, great view. Too bad it was foggy so could not see much of the Golden Gate Bridge

We all enjoyed Alcatraz, Muir Woods, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Although Sausalito was a pretty place, it could have been excluded with more time given to Muir Woods. The one significant problem was that the tour was to leave at 9 am. And it didn't leave until 10:15. We would have been waiting around wasting time had we not decided to walk to the pier where the ferry was for Alcatraz. The only problem with that is that you have to be prepared to walk. So, in essence, I felt that we wasted money on time we could have spent enjoying another location. If you knew where to go and could arrange the visit to Alcatraz on your own, you would save alot of money. The only "tour" we received was on the way to Muir Woods and Sausalito. Our bus driver seemed knowledgeable and that made it enjoyable. So, if you don't want to do the running around yourselves and don't mind spending the extra money, then this is a good tour that gives you a spattering of what is in San Francisco.

Doing what: San Francisco Bay Sunset Cruise

We've taken six tours in San Francisco and this is one of the only two I'd take again and recommend, especially if you're into photography. The sunset cruise allows you to see the west side of the Golden Gate Bridge (which you seldom see) and gives you a chance to see the bridge with the setting sun as the back drop. After turning around and returning into the bay is when the buffet opens, but don't count on spending too much time inside as there are still too many scenes to see. You're given plenty of time to get shots of Alcatraz (from front and back), but if you're alert your best shots may be the lights of San Francisco at dusk and then passing under the Bay Bridge. You've got to ready for those as darkness quickly makes the shots of the skyline disappear. Nearly every city tour we've taken show you scenes of San Francisco, but only in passing while this tour will give you shots you'll be proud of. (Can you tell I loved this tour?) I'll attach my shot of San Francisco and the Bay Bridge.

Doing what: Alcatraz and San Francisco City Tour

We only had a three days in San Francisco and this tour was definitely the best way for us to see just about everything the city has to offer. Many highlights but a couple of my favourites were Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Doing what: San Francisco Hop-on Hop-off Tour

We loved the hop on hop off tour bus - to be able to stay where we wanted to longer, we walked halfway across the Golden Gate Bridge, toured Japenese Gardens, enjoyed Fisherman's wharf, lots more and especially Chinatown. well worth the money! Some tour commentators were better than others, preferred the DJ - music and lots of life in him.
