Very good and balanced trip, maybe 1/2 more at Muir Woods and Sausalito would be nice.
Muir Woods was amazing and well worth a visit, to be honest Sausalito was a bit of let down and would have given this a miss. Tour guide was exceptional !!
The Muir woods was fantastic, too bad we didn't have a longer visit. We left the tour and thanked the great driver at Sausalito we wanted to take the ferry back to SF
You shouldn't miss this spectacular natural wonder! Bus driver/tour guide Igor is a blast. You'll hear about the John Muir woods, Sausalito, a bunch of jokes, and some opinions -- and he can really handle a big bus on the hairpin turns.
Alcatraz was the best audio tour I've ever experienced. Very well organized. Manny, our tour guide to Muir Woods and Sausalito, was fabulous. Very knowledgable and friendly.
Incredible half-day trip, giving us just enough time to walk around Muir Woods and take in the atmosphere of Sausalito. Wonderful coach driver too - very capable and friendly!
Our tour guide Manny was great! We really enjoyed our trip to the Muir Woods and Sausalito.
This was a great tour! Our guide was funny. Both Muir Woods and Sausalito are beautiful.
The tour was great. We were able to see Muir Woods and go to three wineries. our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Would highly recommend this tour.
Well worth the trip
Muir Woods was fantastic,
Plan on spending additional time in Sausalito and taking the Fairy back to SF, great little city
This was a great tour for a quick visit to Muir. Our driver was Manny and he did everything he could to make this trip enjoyable. This trip will allow you to visit Muir without having to deal with the difficult parking. We had enough time to do the entire walking path a Muri as well as take some pictures. Sausalito was a great lunch stop on the way back with Manny providing good recommendations. Before crossing the bridge back to SF we had time to go up the hill on the West side. Unfortunately it was a pretty foggy day so we didn't get great photos of the bridge.
Guide Anthony was great, went to some small wineries which we enjoyed. Muir woods was amazing
This was easily the BEST tour/adventure we did while we were in California! Sadly, I can't remember our tour guide's name he was German! but he was hilarious, entertaining, and informative. This tour took us to Muir Woods beautiful ride but I can see how some might get motion sickness on the way! and then Napa and Sonoma. The wineries were smaller but everyone was friendly and very welcoming, especially of people like us not wine snobs/newbies/we had no idea what we were doing. I would hands down recommend this tour to anyone. I would even do it again!
Roman was an excellent guide/driver. Funny and Informative. the choice of small wineries was great! would have loved to have more time at Muir woods----but will book that tour next time
tour guide was very funny and personable. Enjoyed Muir Woods and all of the winery tours. Very fun and would recommend!
do not miss Muir woods, its a great place, could have spent all day there
I cannot rave enough about this trip!! Simply fantastic! This tour was given by a local tour company and our tour guide and driver, Roman, was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable of the wine country, San Francisco, and the surrounding area. He was a comedy act all by himself! The day was sunny and perfect for seeing Muir Woods, Sonoma and Napa and the 3 wineries we visited were excellent with great personal tours and delicious tastings. I highly recommend this tour, and if you can get Roman, then you will get the best of the best!
Loved this tour. Muir Woods is a must see when visiting San Francisco. The tour guy was very entertaining and you have the ability to stay in Sausalito and take a ferry back to enjoy more shopping time.
Loved Muir Woods. Would have loved to have had even 30 more minutes at this location. Mayo Winery and Madonna Winery were excellent and loved visiting the boutique wineries. We were not impressed with Cline and would have loved to have been able to go to another winery. The driver stopped before coming back across the Golden Gate Bridge for a beautiful photo op. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Muir Woods was great! Our tour guide Anthony was beyond amazing! He was extremely helpful and very intent that we had the best time,,,thanks Anthony!
Totally worth it! This was a great value for 50. Bus was a nice tour bus, complete with AC and a bathroom. The Muir Woods were beautiful. You walk on wooden pathways throughout the woods and are given a map to explore on your own for an hour. Very gorgeous. Also had an hour in Sausalito to eat lunch, shop, site see, etc! Bus driver even made a detour to a very scenic overlook for some fantastic photo opportunities of San Fran and the Bay. Well worth the value, highly recommended!
Great half-day tour.
We were picked up from our airport hotel in the morning and stuck around Fisherman's Wharf for a few hours after being dropped off at the tour office at the tour's end around 1pm. We then hopped back on the bus around 5pm for airport hotel drop offs. In that time we were able to walk around the wharf, get some seafood, see pier 39, see lombard street and get some chocolate from ghiradelli factory.
The tour was informative as the driver pointed out fun facts along the way. Muir Woods was great, I think we spent about 1.25 hours there which seemed like enough time to get a feel for it and take some cool photos. Sausalito was beautiful but I wish we had more time there I think we got 1 hour exactly. By the time we got there it was lunchtime and we waited for and ate lunch which took up almost an hour. It would have been nice to peek into some of the cool boutiques/galleries they have there.
Overall a great tour, though, nice to get out of the city for awhile. Combine it with Fisherman's Wharf and you will have a busy but fun sight-seeing day.
This was my second time taking this tour and I loved it just as much as the last time I took it. I had a different guide this time, but overall the day is well structured that you get to see the Golden Gate Bridge up close and personal, the Muir Woods, a cute town for lunch, and 3 wonderful wineries. Loved it!
The driver was very friendly and informative all through the tour and went above and beyond when one of the members of our group became ill not related to the tour. He was knowledgeable of the flora and fauna in the region and the history of notable people responsible for the preservation of Muir Woods. Sausalito was a bit disappointing-not too much to see other than the houses hung on every hillside, the marina, and the short street of tourist bait shops. Again, the driver did a great job informing us of some of the notable people, past and present, who were important to the town. The impromptu sing along when the tour was slowed by traffic was an innovative way of dealing with what could have been a real bore. The bus was clean and well maintained 5 stars, the driver was outstanding 5 stars, and the content of the tour was excellent 4 stars. We would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who would love to see these wonderful trees in a safe, clean, worry-free environment.
What a history lesson you get from visiting Alcatraz prison. I wound near like to be in prison.
Sausalito not long enough, need to be at least 3 hours not 1 hour,
Muir wood again need to be long. . The driver was great.
