Coastal redwoods are the tallest living things on earth, and walking among these giants is truly an awesome experience - one only to be had in Northern California and a small part of southern Oregon. Best of all, the old-growth redwoods at Muir ...

We had never visited either Muir Woods or Alcatraz before and enjoyed the trip very much. All the connections were easy, staff was friendly and knowledgable. It was very smart to end with the visit to Alcatraz, because the ferries back ran every half hou and we could have taken any one we wished. Excellent tour!!!

Great tour.
If you want to make it to the 4th bridge in muir woods, you got to keep up the pace.
Take a look at your Alcatraz voucher before queuing, you won't be admitted to the ferry until your ticket-time. You can spand as long as you want on Alcatraz. After arriving back you can check out Fishermans wharf or Pier39 which are really close and take a ride on the cable car.

This was a great trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone. Muir Woods was breathtaking and Sausalito was charming. Kenneth the driver was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip very lively. The only downside is it was too short - it would have been better to spend just a little more time in both places but we will just have to plan to return. :-)

I would recommend this tour to anyone- it was a great tour and our driver James provided a humorous and interesting commentary! Muir Woods is beautiful and Sausalito is a pretty coastal town. Overall, a relaxing day and reasonably priced tour.

They told us the wrong time and showed up an hour earlier but didn't call so we had to reschedule for the next day forcing us to cancel our trip to Santa Cruz and Monterey. The tour guide was great and very funny. I would recommend muir woods and Sausalito but I'd rent a car so you'd have more time

Alcatraz was my favorite on this tour. Ferry ride was great. Make sure you do the audio tour in the cell house. Wear good walking shoes. If I go back to San Francisco I would back to Alcatraz.
Muir Woods is very nice as well. Sausalito was a plesant stop too.

What a wonderful tour! Muir Woods was beautiful and serene. Sausalito was a quaint little spot with a beautiful view of SF. The best part of this whole trip was our tour guide/driver (Aaron). He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and added so much to the experience. He had so much information to share through each part of the tour. He also stopped so we could get out of the bus and take photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were rerouted due to an accident.in SF on the way back to the drop off point. Aaron gave us information about the areas we drove through to get around the accident so we feel like we got an extra tour! This is a don't miss and for such a reasonable price!

The forest was wonderful. Only had an hour or so to enjoy the experience which limited our ability to fully take in more of the trails within Muir Woods. The driver for this tour, Kenneth was awsome, knowledgeable and informative throughout the entire trip to and from Muir Woods. My wife and I truly enjoyed this excursion.

What a day, start to finish brilliant, Muir Woods was amazing, Sausalito was so pretty shame we did not have more time there and needless to say that Alcatraz was very interesting and very entertaining with the audio commentary, really came to life for you.

The Muir Woods are a superb refuge for the busy San Francisco. Sausalito has fantastic views on the bay. Half a day is perfect to see both, especially with the great guide we had.

We had a great time and the sights were beautiful. Getting to see the Marin Headlands on the way back was an unexpected bonus. Only drawback was that our driver/guide drove too fast on the winding roads in/out of Muir Woods. He had great commentary though.
