What a great day out. Good variety of things to see and do. Muir Woods is lovely and only an hour from San Francisco. Then on to Sausalito, where we had an hour free time to walk around and buy lunch. Very pretty town. I would have liked to spend a bit longer there to explore. We then caught the ferry to Alcatraz. Make sure you do the free audio tour of the cells. It was excellent.

Great tour. First Muir Woods was a nice start to the morning, then onto the wineries, 3 in all. Tour guide was very knowledgable and extremely pleasant.

Very friendly knowledgable Tour Guide. Muir Wood very intresting. Lots of Wine to Taste. A very enjoyable outting. REMEMBER: Muir Wood cool, Wine Country very warm - Jacket recommended.

Good value trip through Viator's local representative based in Fisherman's Wharf. Bus was ok although i'm uncertain if it offered air con. Then again in September this wasn't an issue.

The trip down to Muir woods from Sausalito is a little twisty, up to that point all Freeway, although no-one on the bus had any troubles. The hour in the woods is just about enough - we even did the 1.5 hour walk in this time!

Trip back via Sausalito gave you just over an hour which I feel is not enough to grab food and do some sighseeing. We decided to ditch bus at that point and take ferry over to Fisherman's Wharf. Wow would we recommend this as you get to see Golden Gate, Alcatraz as well as the skyline of SF all for US$10 or US$ for seniors.

Overall I would recommend this trip and local tour company.

Perfect trip with Troy as an amazing guide. Would have never gone up these curvy street to Muir Woods. A bit more time at each stop would be nice. Thanks Troy for the additional stop with an amazing view on Golden Gate Bridge!!

One of the best things we did while visiting SF! The tour was well organized and our driver, Mark, was incredible, he gave us a very in depth history lesson about the area, the background of Muir Woods, and the vineyards. He was informative but also very funny and enjoyable. Lastly, we discovered the next day that we had lost our camera somewhere the day of the tour. Viator representatives found it called us and got the camera back to us! Exceptional service all the way around. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

A wonderful, spirited trip! Mark, our tour guide was welcoming, considerate, informative and patient. Our group of passengers kept the atmosphere lively. Though our bus broke down at the 1st winery, the wine kept flowing to keep us happy, and adjustments were made so that we enjoyed the complete tour of teh Muir Woods and 3 wineries.

We loved the trip. Guide was GREAT. John, I think. Just enough time in the woods, excellent information, good combination to do Muir Woods WITH the Bay cruise. We would definitely recommend this one to anyone going to San Francisco.

Doing what: Muir Woods, Giant Redwoods and Sausalito Half-Day Trip

Incredible place, Muir Woods. One must see it to believe it. Sausalito is always a joy to visit. Overall great tour and Troy was a great tour guide; very personable and knowledgeable. Thanks!

A great experience! Perfect combination of time spent in Muir Woods, Sausalito, and Alcatraz. Our bus driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only problem is the bus could use some updating and there was very minimal legroom in the seats. But overall, we would definitely recommend this trip...especially if someone only has a couple of days in san francisco and wants to maximize how much they can see!

Doing what: Muir Woods, Giant Redwoods and Sausalito Half-Day Trip

Very well organized tour group. Picked us up at our hotel which was perfect since we were relying on public transportation. Tour guide was friendly, professional and gave us great information along the route. I only wish we had at least another half an hour in Muir Woods. I would definately use this tour group again..

was a fabulous trip to both Alcatraz and Muir Woods, couldn't fault anything

The Alcatraz tour plus Muir Woods, Giant Redwoods and Sausalito Day trip was everything I expected and more. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The driver was great and very informative.
