Doing what: Little Italy and North Beach Walking Tour

Fantastic tour starting with a real coffee and then onto bread making, pastries , chocolate, fresh fish tacos and finishing with olive oil tastings and the very best pizza. Tom our guide was excellent, knows his food and loves his city. Is was a a great overall view of downtown little Italy. Highly recommend.

Doing what: Little Italy and North Beach Walking Tour

This is one of the best kept secrets of San Francisco. A magical insight into the cafes, bakeries and coffee shops of the stunning North Beach area. It is personally one of my favourite areas of San Francisco, and I found the food on this tour absolutely exquisite. I still have cravings for the mouthwatering handmade French chocolates. Yum. This is not your typical run-of-the-mill tour - it is guided by a passionate tour guide who seems to know the who's who of North Beach, and knows all there is to know about North Beach.

Doing what: Little Italy and North Beach Walking Tour

Tour was a lot of fun and learned a lot about Little Italy and North Beach.

the tour of fishermans wharf was very informative, the walking tour thru the north beach area and up the hills to coit tower, all wonderful but very tiring for an older traveler, Alcatraz was incredible and the audio tour hauntingly real.

Doing what: Chinatown and North Beach Night Walking Tour

The tour leader was great--very informed. Enjoyed the tastings in Chinatown and dinner in the Italian restaurant. Even though I have been to San Fran before, I was glad I went on this tour.

Doing what: Little Italy and North Beach Walking Tour

It started out a little slow. But we ate several different tastes and all were very good. Plus we learned quite a bit about types of ovens used for cooking, how coffee beans are roasted, etc, and some key sights in the area. I would recommend this to anyone for eating and learning a lot about North Beach.

Good tour and a great way to see little Italy. You will get plenty to taste as you make your way around some great little shops.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Thomas A, USA, November 2006
Doing what: Little Italy and North Beach Walking Tour

I thought that this was mainly a culinary tour emphasizing the Italian foods in San Francisco and North Beach, but I didn't experience that at all. The attempt was made but the stops were barely Italian whether at the bakery, deli or restaurant.
