The tour was very informative and we learned a lot. I would have like to stay longer
in Sausalito. One hour was not enough time to enjoy a walk along the harbour and then enjoy a nice lunch.

Alcatraz was a realistic experience if I ever had one. Real convicts and workers giving you the tour through a headset. You walk through each section and experience what it was like so many years ago. Muir woods was awesome! The trees are magnificent. Nature is just beautiful. And Sausalito, gorgeous!!! It was a beautiful town near the water, great shops and restaurants. I also loved it because it had my name on a keychain. I will definitely be paying it another visit.

Alcatraz in the morning - great history lesson - well organized tour. Excellent tour.
In the afternoon it was Muir woods and Sausalito, peace and quiet of the woods to the charm of the Sausalito. Overall a magic day - an essential tour when in San Francisco.

Woods are beautiful, as is Sausalito. I could've spent the whole morning in the woods, they are so peaceful. I learned a lot from our driver about this part of California. The only downside of the trip was having to wait around for the transfer back to our hotel.

Excellent guide! Could have spent more time in the woods and skipped Sausalito. Overall great trip.

This trip was wonderful! Our driver was very knowledgeable and gave great commentary while on the bus. He drove us to a spot to take pictures of the Golden Gate bridge and city. Then he drove us to Muir Woods, explaining its history and significance along the way. We spent the whole time allotted walking the paths in the woods. Muir Woods is an amazing place and it feels like you're only spending 15 or 20 minutes in the forest, as time seems to get lost while inside. After leaving the woods our driver took us to Sausalito. We grabbed lunch at Venice, a cute Italian deli on the main street. There are beautiful views and interesting architecture around the town and it's nice to just walk around. Overall, this tour was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco. Muir Woods is an unbelievable experience and one that should not be missed!

I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in getting the most out of their San Francisco trip. Alcatraz was my favorite part, but that's not to say that Muir Woods and Sausalito were not fantastic as well! Tour guide was funny, friendly and very knowledgeable of everything we saw. 5 stars well deserved!

We took the bus early in the morning to Muir Woods. We were the first bus there, so it was very peaceful and magical in the woods. Our driver, Kenneth, did a superb job narrating along the way and even sang a song or two. If Whitney Houston were still with us, she'd have to keep an eye out for Kenneth...but, I digress. Then it was off to Sausalito where our family had lunch at "Spinnakers" on the water. We dined on great food while watching the sailboats float by. It wasn't cheap, but I thought it was worth it. Then we headed back to "Frisco" (please note: apparently the locals hate it when we use this moniker) to head over to Alcatraz via ferry. The audio tour on Alcatraz is top notch. It was an interesting tour that really gave you a sense of day-to-day life on Alcatraz with a few jailbreaks mixed in. Our family of 5 (kids ages 11, 15 and 17) all enjoyed this trip aside from some in-fighting amongst the children in Muir Woods. The woods would have been much more peaceful and magical at times without the children.

Loved the tour! From the very start we walked up a mountain in Muir Woods (without realizing how high up we were going). We took some beautiful pictures of the mountains. Just being able to breath in fresh air at that altitude was an experience within itself, especially when you live in the midwest. The bus ride up the mountain was extremely informative. We were able to eat a quick meal or go shopping in Sausalito. The Alcatraz Tour was exciting. The Alcatraz Tour is really fun starting from the boat ride to the island to finding out all that transpired when the jail was opened. It's almost a bonding experience with the people who lived there.

Amazing! To be honest, wish the trip to Muir Woods was longer and bypassed Sausalito. Those trees take your breath away. Their size has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. The air at ground level, although damp, is refreshing. But be warned, its cool-cold walking through the forest. Outerwear and comfy walking sneakers required. If you visit San Fran area, go out of your way to visit Muir Woods! Appreciate a unique experience you will never forget.

This was a great tour. very timely - didn't have to wait to move from one place to the other. Muir Woods was a wonderful surprise - I would go again just for the peace and quiet and inspirational value. Alcatraz was very interesting - a great piece of history - wish we could have had more time there. Maybe a trip in the morning would have been better for me. Sausalito was interesting -

Driver was pleasant, a bit too chatty for me though. Safe driver, which is the main thing, and had interesting comments on the sights. Great tour at Alcatraz! Sausalito was ok, nothing special. Muir Woods--stunning.

Muir Woods was a beautiful place to visit just outside of San Fransisco. The tour guide was very informative; I learnt loads! Sausalito was also a nice place to visit, and the views we had of the Golden Gate Bridge on the return were exceptional.

Perfect way to see Muir Woods and stop off in Sausalito. Our tour guide was really informative, quite funny, and included a quick photo stop by the edge of the Golden Gate Bridge. Highly recommended!

This tour was amazing the driver Rich was really informative. There was a delay setting of (not sure why) so we only got 1hr 15mins in the woods which was just enough to get up to the 3rd bridge and back and look around the little gift shop. We then only had 45mins in Sausalito which wasn't enough time at all but having said that we would still recommend the tour.
