Doing what: Yosemite National Park and Giant Sequoias Trip

Wonderful trip! Must do if you are in San Francisco. It was snowing in Yosemite and some areas were blocked. Unfortunately did not get to see the giant sequoias. Overall, it's a fantastic trip!

Doing what: Yosemite National Park and Giant Sequoias Trip

The 4-5 hour drive each way was well worth it. I got to experience snowfall for the first time as it greeted us as we arrived. I now know how it is to walk on snow. Yosemite was beautiful in the snow - serene and pristine. It was a very good first visit for me and my dad. There was low visibility due to the snow fall so we didn't get to see half dome or El Capitan or the other falls clearly. We also didn't see the Giant Sequoias. We got to see a glimpse of Bridalveil Fall. I would definitely go back but during a different season to appreciate a different kind of beauty. Next time, I would take the 2 or 3 day tour perhaps. Our driver Rick was very lively and I appreciate his efforts. He drove the tour bus very well. He was also entertaining and educational. The stop durations were just right. The bus was comfortable but the seats were a little small. Do take this trip.

Yosemite is one of the must visit National Parks. There is so much to see that you will never have enough time to experience everything the park has to offer. Also depending on the time of year the park can change its scenery dramatically. It is very busy during the summer months especially during July and August so make sure to plan your day prior to arrival at the park as traffic/other tourists can end up limiting your plans. Yosemite is a must visit if you are in the area.

A long trip, but well worth it. Yosemite is stunning. Only wish I could have spent days there rather than hours.

A long trip but well worth while. Good stop en route for refreshments etc. Good driver/guide made the journey interesting and would have liked to spend more time in fabulous Yosemite but there's only so much you can pull in on one day.

If you've never been its worth just taking in all the famous Yosemite sites you've seen in pictures: Yosemite Falls, El Capitan and Half Dome. But try to get away from the crowds on a less popular trail - I love Sentinel Dome, a much easier version of Half Dome, but still with a great view. Spring and fall are the best times to visit as the park is much less crowded. There's so many trails and the park is so huge, you'll never see it in one go, pick a couple of things to do and go for it, everyone comes back to Yosemite!

Yosemite is definitely a must-see in California and though a long day ride from San Francisco, this National Park should be on your list of things to do in San Francisco! Once you are in Yosemite, admire the Yosemite Falls, at its strongest in late Springs, go for a hike to one of the Falls - Bridalveil, Vernal or Nevada - which flow all year-round, or rent a bike to explore the Yosemite Valley. The park tends to get busy in Summer so make sure you reserve in advance to secure you spot - even backpacking permits are tough to get by, so early planning is highly recommended. Have fun!

What a great spot. It's a long drive from San Francisco, but worth it on multiple levels - the views, the sense of grandeur, the hiking. There are lots of ways to beat the crowds, don't plan to stay in the valley the whole time. I really like going to the Eastern Sierras, staying in Bridgeport and then driving into Yosemite from there. There's also a cool little ghost town not far from Bridgeport called Bodie, a perfect stop to/from the Eastern end of Yosemite.

An awesome day tour! The guide was very informative and friendly. And despite we couldn't make it to the Giant Sequoias due to weather condition, the great scenery in the Yosemite Valley worths every penny.

Doing what: Yosemite National Park Day Trip from San Francisco

This was well worth the money! The bus ride to Yosemite alone is worth the trip. We passed through small American country towns, stopped for coffee and snacks along the way and got to see some countryside that is just as beautiful as Yosemite itself. Our tour guide had plenty of stories and fun facts to tell us along the way and the personalized tour through Yosemite was priceless. This tour is a must for anyone travelling to California!

Doing what: Yosemite National Park Day Trip from San Francisco

What an amazing day trip! Although the trip is long 4 hours one way, the reward at the end of the journey is well worth it. Yosemite is an amazing place! Unless you have the time to stay overnight, this day trip gives you a great taster into the National Park. It is very hard to leave but you are guaranteed to want to go back. Because we made some time on the trip up, we ended up having 3 full hours of free time at Yosemite which was great. We also had a one hour tour of the park with the driver who took us to Bridal veil falls and tunnel view lookout which was great because then on top of that we had 3 hours to do what we liked. The park shuttle bus helps to conveniently transport you through the park, so getting around whilst you are there is very easy. Granted we had the picture perfect day weather wise so it was an absolute dream experience, I am sure Yosemite has something to offer no matter what the weather may bring.
