So you’ve made it to San Francisco and you’re out and about on the town. Undoubtedly, you should check out the famous Market Street. Not only is Market Street a point of origin, it also divides the city from the waterfront to the hills of the Twin Peaks. It has been compared to the Champs-Elysees and Fifth Street, and for you, wandering traveler, it will send you through a good cross-section of San Francisco, should you choose to hoof the whole thing. If you opt out of the 3 mile trek, however, you’re in luck: many of the city’s buses and light rails run the length of Market.
