Comment from Hudson
Currently gearing up for its 15th year, the San Francisco Independent Film Fest is, in its own way, one of San Francisco’s statements to the world. Funky, cool, irreverent, impassioned, creative, classical, and new—it embodies the running ethos of this great city. From February 7th to the 23rd, you can catch some of these thematic statements in their silver-screened glory—some great indie films are playing down at the Roxie Theater in the Mission District.
Definitely a film festival that caters to alternative tastes, the San Francisco Independent Film Festival carries a genre-sweeping film offering, so more than likely there’s something for everybody. However, the leitmotif of the fest seems to be showing films that challenge assumptions in a way.Editor’s Note: This recommendation was taken from our San Francsisco Things to Do blog.
