I'm glad I took the tour. I would be interested in returning on my own to be able to explore at a more leisurely pace. There are several spots to picnic as you make your way along the path.

The path is paved, but narrow and slippery at times. It's easy to get distracted by all the scenery. There is something worth taking a picture of at every turn.

We had just seen an amazing roadside waterfall. After a 10 minute stop to get photos, we were on our way to the observation tower. Pictured (l-r) are Jeremy, Celine, Tony Caliz, Oscar, and Sonia.

Distant fortress on a hill

At the Bano Grande, Tony showed us where to stand so that we could see the distant fortress. Of course, the half day tour did not give us time to travel there, but it was remarkable to see it. Only with a guide would we have known to stand in the only little spot where it was visible.
