Doing what: San Juan Snorkel and Picnic Cruise

We had a great day on the spacious catamaran. The snorkeling was exceptional and the crew made every effort to make our experience the best possible!!

Doing what: San Juan Snorkel and Picnic Cruise

The Snorkel and Picnic Cruise was a highlight of our Puerto Rico vacation.
The food was plentiful and good along with the Rum punch. The beach was exceptional and we had good wind for a sail. The swimming and snorkeling was well instructed for safety. The boat was large enough for the 40 passengers to all have a good time including seniors, couples and families with children.
My only COMPLAINT is wish we would have had some idea how long the trip to the marina was. Not the fault of the driver but the normally 1 hour drive was 2 hours due to traffic from Isle Verde. It would be helpful if in the description of the cruise the 1 hour drive would be included.

Doing what: Rum Distillery and Old San Juan Half-Day Tour

The Rum tour was fun you get a lesson behind the rum industry that people probably dont know.

The beach was nice and the rainforest was such a beautiful experience.

The tour was great but the lunch wasn't so,.. awful food and the bathroom was filthy and no running water.

Doing what: San Juan Snorkel and Picnic Cruise

No real snorkelling lesson, not much room on boat if crowded. Lots of loud dance music. Crew was awesome.

Doing what: Rum Distillery and Old San Juan Half-Day Tour

Bacardi tour was interesting but not awesome. The tour of the old city and fort was nice.

This tour was great for the price! The barcardi tour is always a hit! The tour of old san juan is even better. My only complaint is that it felt rushed. It's only a half a day tour but it really should be a full day. There is no way you can take in all that in half a day. But again, for the price it was AWESOME!!! You cant find a better deal. You really get a great tour of old san juan. Worth doing.

Wasn't all that impressed by either rain forest or beach. Guide/driver was friendly and talkative, but not knowledgable about local flora/fauna/animals. Couldn't tell us anything about the rain forest.

Doing what: San Juan Snorkel and Picnic Cruise

Generally it was very good. I could have done without the music blaring continuously...but that is just me. Otherwise it was very enjoyable and safe and laid back.

Doing what: San Juan Snorkel and Picnic Cruise

The catamaran and crew were excellent, and it was so fun to be out on a boat and get to explore new places, but there were about 40 people total on the boat and most of them were primarily interested in getting really drunk and being super loud. As long as you're prepared for that it's totally worth doing, but the emphasis is much more on partying than snorkeling or picnicking...

Doing what: El Yunque Rainforest Hiking from San Juan

Our guide was Tony, and he was wonderful! The hike was easy on the down-hill, a little more rough on the up-hill. Definitely bring snacks. Water area is really crowded and no beach, just rocks, so you have to be very careful. Good trip, but wanted to see more.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better Review by Rob F, April 2013
Doing what: El Yunque Rainforest Hiking from San Juan

Spent WAAAAYYYY too much time at the rainforest visitor center. What should have been a maybe a 15 minute stop turned into over an hour. Wasted time that could have been used at a stop at the other roadside waterfall or the observation tower inside the park instead of just whizzing by them. Don't tell people to pack their own snacks and water before the tour, and then offer to let folks buy these things at the visitor center as well as sit down and eat them there??? This is supposed to be a hiking outing, not a "buy snacks and browse the gift shop" outing. The hike down to the falls and back was great even though our "guide" was very loud in her descriptions of trees, plants, etc. Most folks come into the woods to have a quiet, reflective experience. We finally just had to leave the group to enjoy the hike. The tour bus was comfortable but the driver needs to wear a microphone to be heard completely in the back of the bus...maybe that's why she was yelling on the trail??? Don't miss El Yunque, but be picky about who takes you there.

Doing what: San Juan Snorkel and Picnic Cruise

We have been to Puerto Rico many times and this is one day that we look forward to. The boat is very nice, Captain and crew are very professional. The water, aquatic life, and scenery are wonderful. Bring your sunblock a great day with lots of Fun in the Sun - What a vacation day should be!!!!
